All the usual stuff here and don’t forget your pre-match predictions.
Agreed and I think our most important match of the season - we win and we can move up 4 places and virtually put Crewe and Charlton out of our play off picture as we’ll still have 4 & 3 matches in hand on themVery tough game. Play good, attacking football and very unlucky not to beat Sunderland at the weekend.
They’ll be blips during the run in. Tomorrow could be one of them. 1-1 draw, not the end of the world as long as we follow it up with a win on Saturday

I’d gone for Pitch decimated by moles. It’s gonna be foggy tonight, just sayin
No way he will leave Stewart out.We haven't got a good record this season of coming back if we concede first. First goal is all important.
Pretty sure Critch will make a couple of changes (possibly Dougall for Stewart, Turts for Gabriel) to try and keep players fresh.
I don't think there is any need to rotate for fresh legs. Compared to all the other sides our players have had plenty of games off. It's now the games start to come thick and fast, so maybe then.Tricky game tonight. Will Critch rotate as well to start the game with fresh legs ? Come on the Tangerine horde !!
No way he will leave Gabriel out either He's one of our consistently best players recently. No way he will leave Stewart out.
Even out the games and the last 18 from all teams paints an even better pictureWe look to be gaining some consistency now.
Discount the first 6 games and were 5th with 2 games in hand, 1 point off automatic.

We're a much better side than we were then. Last Crewe game was almost a piss take in terms of sideways passing and pointless possession retention. We still don't create many chances. Gradually looking better going forward, Yates and Simms are both improving and other players getting forward in support like Virtue, Garbutt and Mitchell. Kaikai shaping up a bit too. And Ward has the ability to get in there and shoot. Like to see them all looking to get into shooting positions more often and also to play Yates and Simms in on goal more. We are managing games well but perhaps could be more ruthless in attack. Set pieces still yielding little too.
You just had to say that didn’t you? They've not beaten us since 2004. 5 wins and 3 draws
Yeah we are improving, much more mobile up front without that tattooed fella? We're a much better side than we were then. Last Crewe game was almost a piss take in terms of sideways passing and pointless possession retention.
I'd wonder if Embleton has a place tonight. We tend to mirror good footballing sides and I think he's got 'attack' in his make up.
I was at that game. One of only three games I ever went on the Kop. I'd say September 1981, I think a loanee called Goddard got a couple, he had a brother who was in the 1st Division a the time playing for West Ham. The other game you mention I think was a 6-1 win under Sam Ellis in the Promotion season 1985, night game. I'll settle for either of the same scores tonight, I don't mind whichAlways had a soft spot for games against Crewe. They were the opposition at the first game I went to on my own, in the opening Div 4 season, we won 5-0 I recall. Dave Bamber got the first, Dave Hockaday definitely another. Also seen us win 6-0 with them I'm sure.
Then one year they came and just murdered us, footballed their way through us, classy performance. Couldn't believe it, I'd never seen Crewe play like that before. Didn't realise it at the time, but I guess that was the start of the Gradi influence.
Since then, they've been up they've been down but they always try to play good stuff and it'll be hard tonight. We've been winning (mainly) for weeks and hardly moved, just had to keep pace. But a win tonight will be a huge stride forward. Go with confidence boys and attack them, we'll win this.
You mean the lad who turned the season around there?Yeah we are improving, much more mobile up front without that tattooed fella?
I'd like to see Embleton too. He might be the missing link. In more ways than one. Behind Yates and Simms, that could develop into something quite tasty. I like the idea of Mitchell out wide too, he's developing. It's certainly coming together, and has been for a while, but Simms, Stewart and Embleton seem good additions.
