I rarely agree with such ridiculous hyperbole but you're right. I dread to think what will happen in January but I fear we may lose him.

kouassi hat-trick, he didnt just power the goals either, nicely taken. Dembele is very tricky, Kouassi class, they've got to play.

Weir isn't doing it for me yet, which is a shame as the lads got talent.

I totally agree with you, he is the real deal, the sort of player Brentford would sign and then he scores 30 in the EPL. Most exciting player we have signed for a long time, possibly since GTF. Imagine if we still had Yates, he would have loved playing alongside him. Never mind Lavery not getting in the team, Joseph won't be getting a sniff either with Kouassi and Rhodes up top.

A quick shout ou for Bees too, I thought he had an excellent game, along with Oakley-Booth who can't be far off a first team start.

He's definitely got that air about him that he won't be messed with and he just wants his name on the scoresheet. Against anyone in any comp. Hopefully he'll stick Critchley in a full nelson if he drops him or tells him he's going to try him out as an underlapping inverted goalkeeper next week.

He wasn't released, he ran his contract down with Sutton (ended in June 2023) and with no fee being agreed (and him being only 20) a fee will have been sorted by tribunal.

He wasn't released. I posted the other day that someone I know who has been in a seriously major role at Sutton said we have stolen him from them. Apparently he came through their youth system with flying colours but when it became clear he was an asset his agent convinced him to refuse a contract and touted him round the 92. We, believe it or not, were the lucky winners. Deal of the decade for Blackpool, but I hope Sutton have a nice sell on clause because this lad is going all the way.

We win either way.

We've never really had that amazing talent, English too, that some other clubs have had that have gone for big prem money.

You see some deals that are like 10-20 million.

Now I'm not suggesting he's one of them, it's still early days but hes showing a lot, but if he is to go given how long is on his contract, we either get the player or get the big cash, which can then build a far better side.

But let's not get too carried away just yet.

Didn't his agent advise him to wait to better himself or something? Probably not a lot Sutton could do, although I believe he wasn't that highly rated by some of their fans?

He wasn't released. He was offered a new contract but turned it down when he heard we were interested. Sutton are due some compensation which looks like will be decided by a tribunal.

Keep your powder dry. He's just played against a team of not very inspiring kids.
 
I remember John Hills playing in reserves fixture against Everton - 10 minutes later he was an Everton player. Kouassi for Salah swap (+ cash adjustment in our favour) anyone?

I think we completely outplayed them 1st half. Just didn't finish and should have been way ahead. They pounced on our mistake for their goal 1st half.

2nd half was mixed, they had a good spell and they've got some nice technical players, but we did out muscle them and at times cut through them, scoring just the 4.

Should have been about 10-1.

We had 3 right-footed CBs playing so double well done to Will playing on the left. You might have thought either of the more experienced ones might have been given the job.
