O Donnell where were you.
That takes any pressure off Grimmy, that was flaptastic!O Donnell where were you.
He had a promising start but hasn’t kicked on, I hope it’s not an indication of Critchleys coachingI wonder if Weir goes back to Brighton in January, he came here as a hot prospect and he's been really underwhelming.
There's no pressure on Grimshaw at all...That takes any pressure off Grimmy, that was flaptastic!
Hmm...ditto Andy Lyons. He had a promising start but hasn’t kicked on, I hope it’s not an indication of Critchleys coaching
There should be but there isn't, all players need players breathing down their neck, it's good for them. There's no pressure on Grimshaw at all...
Maxwell-Esque? Haven’t seen just following on here…That takes any pressure off Grimmy, that was flaptastic!
If you have anything interesting to say, I might read it. There’s Kings Lynn too.Sorry. I'll post about Norwich next time.
He just needs to keep taking his chances and we can judge again. Football is also about timing, sometimes it right sometimes it isn't.He’s been way off all season. Nothing against the lad but L2 is his level at the moment.
No one has a divine right to play in their preferred position and players need to be adaptable but…..he had a strong season last year playing in an attacking midfield role and had an extended run of games. He’s gone backwards in his time here. He should go elsewhere cos it’s doing nothing for his development under NC.He had a promising start but hasn’t kicked on, I hope it’s not an indication of Critchleys coaching
He will have enjoyed tonight so good luck to him.He just needs to keep taking his chances and we can judge again. Football is also about timing, sometimes it right sometimes it isn't.
Wait, so the system is fine if our youngsters and a few 1st team squad can beat an experienced league 2 side...?A decent watch and a much changed side. The Critchley DNA could be seen on how he wants to play which is no bad thing. Just need the 1st team to be able to execute it now and kick on.
I don't remember the promising start at all. A player isn't up to it at the moment and it's the coach's fault? Perhaps it's simply beyond him at the moment. He had a promising start but hasn’t kicked on, I hope it’s not an indication of Critchleys coaching
Tbf, Morecambe left out some first teamers.Wait, so the system is fine if our youngsters and a few 1st team squad can beat an experienced league 2 side...?

Strong responseUtter bollocks
8 started that also started on Saturday so pretty experienced. I thought they were poor mind. Or were we good? God knows!Tbf, Morecambe left out some first teamers.
I didn't say the system was fine just that you could see the DNA. Either way it was a half decent watch given the changes and ultimately we need the 1st team to be able to kick on regardless of system.Wait, so the system is fine if our youngsters and a few 1st team squad can beat an experienced league 2 side...?
We sounded good for the first 70 mins. Andy Bayes isn't a cycophant. Morecambe sounded poor though. Derek Quinn sounded suicidal.8 started that also started on Saturday so pretty experienced. I thought they were poor mind. Or were we good? God knows!
hed been hobbling a bit since the assault on him in the first half half. but looks a decent prospect.Brilliant from Miles.
Really like the look of him.
Edit to add, and now he’s gone off holding his hamstring
Well they're seventh in League Two, so are a decent side where they are. Maybe they had an off night or maybe we were just that much better.8 started that also started on Saturday so pretty experienced. I thought they were poor mind. Or were we good? God knows!
1st team squad. In which I would include Beesley, Weir, Gabriel and Oakley-Booth.I didn't say the system was fine just that you could see the DNA. Either way it was a half decent watch given the changes and ultimately we need the 1st team to be able to kick on regardless of system.
About 20 minutes ago they had 8 that played in the first team the last game.Tbf, Morecambe left out some first teamers.
Must have good eyes.I didn't say the system was fine just that you could see the DNA. Either way it was a half decent watch given the changes and ultimately we need the 1st team to be able to kick on regardless of system.
You’re ** depressing. No the formation and tactics are depressing. Critchley has done this. Remarkable how anyone can be upbeat.
A bit harsh. Credit to the lad for simultaneously trying to manage two careers ...Adam Smith might be a famous economist, but he's a rubbish goalkeeper.
Playing up front on his own with midfield runners. Winning most in the air and flicking it on, shows a good attitudeBeesley has looked sharp for his finishes, maybe he knows now he must step up as he's lost ground, he's shown bits of real potential in the past and then nothing, due to injury and loss of form.
Only a silly cup game but, it'll give him confidence and its only a good thing.
Try to view it as preparing for the future. Rather than utter bollocks, building blocks, innit ...Utter bollocks
I think this game was the turning point in our season.I thought we played OK but nothing special and in the end we were holding on a bit. Lyons and Gabriel will benefit for the runout and casey looked a bit better than this level.
Its disappointing that Weir didnt boss this game given his pedigree but Beesley showed he is still a handful at this level. Hopefully his confidence improves and he can challenge for a place on the bench.
All in all we didnt learn too much and I didnt see anyone else ready for the step up just yet.
Watched the game from one of the hotel rooms and they have a really good view tbh.
I think you are delusional and suffering from some sort of covid disorder that has addled your brain. Lets hope you are right though and we can comfortably beat Shrewsbury. Lose that and we are really dropping off the pace.I think this game was the turning point in our season.

Yep was there decent turnout TBFDid anyone on this thread actually attend apart from me and TTP watching from his hotel bed.
I was actually disappointed with Morecambe tonight thought they'd be a lot better as when we played them in the pre season friendly they looked decent.
It has addled my brain a bit to be honest… In fact so much so that I’d forgot about Shrewsbury and thought it was Portsmouth this weekendI think you are delusional and suffering from some sort of covid disorder that has addled your brain. Lets hope you are right though and we can comfortably beat Shrewsbury. Lose that and we are really dropping off the pace.
And still managing to play at the age of 233.A bit harsh. Credit to the lad for simultaneously trying to manage two careers ...
