Blackpool v Peterborough Official Matchday Thread 18.12.21

Genuinely the biggest result of the season so far, defeat would have pulled us right back down into the relegation scrap, but victory has now put us 11 points clear and we can start to look up again. Plus we stop the rot right before the busy period. Class.

Keshi, Bowler, Yates, and Carey have to be our front 4 from now on.

Returned to the 4-4-2 with big Gaz and we get a result. The 4-2-3-1 just doesn’t suit us even though we finished the game off in that formation and ironically scored 2.

Madine pummelled their defence for 70 mins and that was the difference. We just need another one of him to rotate around.

I’m getting lashed in Manc land tonight

Madine was probably man of. the match today. Madine & Yates up top and Carey our creative attacking midfielder, if only we could fit that in.

Had to watch that in Bet 365 in play.

TSSJr1 was there with a mate, who had that had his first ever game of football.

Just had the phone call.

No quality, but who cares!

The our thing about this team, us they keep going, they really keep going.

Stopped a poor streak, a free players who needed a confidence boost got one.

It also stops the grumblings of a few becoming a groan of a few more.

Come on Blackpool!

My reverse psychology at 1512 did the trick. I think we probably all had big worries. The win today showed we have the spirit and fight, hopefully we can kick on again now.

Having a strong bench with options to change the forward line is the key to our survival in this first season back with the big boys.
Sounds like Madine had a good game
