Blackpool v Plymouth Argyle Official Matchday Thread 27.03.21

I am confident for a win , but when you are confident we all know it can bite you in the bum!
i will go for a 2-0 win for Pool with Yates & Embleton to score 🍊

Plymouth been on a poor run recently though they did win last match. Notice Jephcott starting for Wales u21 this afternoon, hope he gets 90 mins. Realise he’s had a bit of goal drought recently but every little helps. It’s a match the current form guides suggest should be a pool win. The type of match that does not always go to plan. However if pool can maintain the energy of recent games then I see another win.

From official site...

Team News:

Elliot Embleton and Jerry Yates should be fine for Saturday’s game after picking up cramp and a slight dead leg from Tuesday night’s win. The squad is likely to be similar to that from the previous game.

Lad that works with me is a Plymouth fan. He reckons we will put 4 at least past them, but thats all psychological sh!t.
Anyway, I'll go 4-0 so that he can be right when I see him on Monday.

Think we should win but these games are coming thick and fast there were some tired legs on Tuesday. Here's hoping they can give everything tomorrow again as they will have a few extra days next week to be ready for Friday. Getting more nerves the more important these games are becoming, it's just the injuries that keep piling up that's troubling me tbh

Tough game. They’ve stopped the rot and can play with freedom being middle of the table with nothing to play for.

Lot of pressure on us. Lot of games thick & fast. Nervy 1-0 win

If we are able to put out the same team as Tuesday, maybe 1 or 2 recover enough to get on the bench, we are fully focused and play to our strengths, we don't have one of those days, their keeper doesn't have the game of his life and the ref has at least an average sort of game then I predict that we might win!

Another potentially tough match for us...
2-0 home win for me with £5million striker Jerry Yates getting them both! 🍊UTMP

Feeling good about today. Same pressing and ambition will make it difficult for any team to beat us. We just need to take our chances.

I will go for 2-0.

I'm wary about teams like this. The weather is horrible. High winds and lashing down with rain. It might even be postponed if we get another heavy downpour.

Horrible feeling of an after the Lord Mayors show 00, but going to go for 4-1 to The Pool

Plymouth are a decent team who like to play football. We ‘tend’ to do well against teams who like to play and struggle more against the hoof ball merchants.
They’ve a decent forward line - especially with Jephcott up top - and Hardie if starting probably feels like he has a point to prove.

I reckon we’ll win but it will be tight and I’d be surprised if we manage to keep a clean sheet.

The sun is out, the sky is blue, there's nary a cloud to wet us through and it's drying, drying in the breeze.
[to the tune of Old McDonald had a Farm].

I'm in two minds about this one. Maybe we will see us push on with our new found confidence and win by a couple. Maybe it will be very tight, a 2-1 or a 1-1. Maybe now we have arrived in the promotion picture things will change, and our players will get a bit nervy.

We've drawn 4 of our last 5 home games and beaten a pretty out of sorts looking Peterboro team, so I can see a draw or narrow win. Ellis to come on and bag the winner.

Pleased for Bange and assume he's there as cover for Yates who I would guess is probably not fully fit.
