Blackpool v Shrewsbury Official Matchday Thread 18.11.23

Why should we expect anything more than the usual piss poor performance?
What you expecting in third division football Real Madrid and City on show?

You need to lower your expectations in this league there isn't a side I've seen home and away and thought Wow.

We tend to not perform for the whole 90 second half against Oxford,Cod's and first Cheltenham we were excellent.

I think the standard of football is good - Like above post I don’t go expecting to see Premier league.

Always enjoy the day if not always the result.

Hopefully a win on Saturday💪

The performances haven’t been piss poor. Arguably they’ve been a bit inconsistent, but piss poor is just overly negative. We’ve also performed better than the results suggest really.
Useless comment. Better than results suggests doesn't get you more points. And I have to disagree anyway. We deserve to be exactly where we are, or maybe even further down the table than we are. We've been shit, boring and overly negative far too often.

Typical comments from an armchair fan who doesn't go to games, I'd stick to watching the Premier League you'll be more entertained than watching crappy third division football.👍

Will the match be streamed live in the UK for TTV viewers? This was the case during the last international break (at home to Stevenage), as apparently the no 3pm kick-offs rule doesn't apply during international breaks.

Shrewsbury have only scored 10 goals all season, so even with our sometimes dodgy defence, we should keep them out. Our problem is too many draws, so I hope they don’t score.

We have got one of the worst defences in the league Shrewsbury will be confident of adding to those 10 goals, I predict a 1-1 draw
Cheltenham hadn’t scored an away goal until they played us. Fleetwood had not scored well at home It’s our defence that’s the problem

Typical comments of an "I buy a ticket so my opinion is worth more than yours" fan. Without any real substance at all.

I only say what I see on a game-by-game basis.

In retort to your comments. Would you then, if my comments are incorrect, suggest that we have been great to watch? Thrilling? Exhilarating? Deserve to be In the top 6 or automatic promotion places? If so, then a word that begins with "D" and ends in "elusional" springs to mind...

It's third division football FFS I've been around long enough to know thrilling and exhilarating rarely come in lower leagues.

Do I enjoy going hell yes and probably would be bored to shit if I had to watch ANY team lower level regularly and probably switch over to the Premier League.

I wouldn’t mind but we’re not exactly gung ho in attack are we unless we go a goal or two down then we suddenly spring into life it’s a pity we can’t start games like that

No it is our non tackling, non tracking midfield that's the problem! There is only Kenny who is prepared to put in the hard graft.

Good. The club is better off without so called fans like you who give up at the drop of a hat. You’re one if not the most negative poster on this forum. You almost sound like a nobber in disguise

And yet I will spend more money on match day tickets than you will on a season ticket so that makes me a much better fan as helping the club more.

I am looking at today as my refund for the hideous performance at Bolton.

Spend more than me haha. I go to alot of away games. All the home games. Merchandise from the club. I don’t post negative stuff all the time that’s for sure. Yet because we lost to Bolton and Peterborough you’re not going today. Call yourself a fan 😂😂😂😂😂😂

What is a fan? It's very subjective. I've been to most home games. Today I can't be arsed because I'm bored of negative tactics. If that isn't being a fan, I won't lose any sleep. The excitement of someone pressing a button to switch on some lights is slightly higher than watching Blackpool try and muster a shot.

I wonder if today is the day Critchley accepts 3-5-2 is shit and tries something different. It's going to happen sooner or later so hopefully today.

Connelly for Morgan and that looks an ok side to me. Connolly is a better tackler and holding midfielder IMO.

We always struggle against Shrewsbury, we’re always crap when I get my nephew to Bloomfield Road and as is the norm - when finances are tight and I still find the funds for a trip to the Gold Coast I’m rarely rewarded for my blind faith.

6-0 win incoming.

Oh the irony!
You using negativity as a reason not to go.

In the last 13 games, in all competitions, we have lost 10 and drawn 3 against Shrewsbury. All things being equal we should hammer this team but they are one of teams we never beat. The last time we beat them was 1997!

1:- Are you a supporter of BFC?
2:- Have you actually seen a game this season?
OR
3:- Are you just a natural grumpy old git?
