Bolton have more fans than us tomorrow?

Just thinking if they've sold out their away allocation and I bet a few will come in our end if they'll actually end up with more fans in BR than we'll have?

No. They've sold 2,000. We'll have plenty more than that. To be in our end means previous buying history. Won't be many Bolton fans with that, and if Pool fans sell to Bolton that's out of order, and when they get traced and banned, good.

I think we could fill two sides ,the old cop and where players come out,so let Bolton have the other two,if it means a packed house, more money for each club

last thing we need is a westbrom/ wolves . disgraceful.

I will probably decide to finish early and drive to Blackpool (no trains home)

Does anybody know if tickets are on sale right upto the kick off?

I think quite a few will buy today and tonight, seeing as there was no huge rush and the weather was dreadful yesterday.

Football is an entertainment business once you take the emotion away. If people do not turn up they are giving their opinion of how they feel at the time.
Too much tippy tappy football at the back , doubt over the formation and what appears to be odd team selection. Despite what critics think the audience are always right. They pay their money and take their choice.
I have already got my ticket so no excuse needed, just reality.

I'm not going tonight and I won't go to Wembley in this competition if we get there, I'd prefer to wait until May 👍

There's a lot of football, it takes up a lot of time and there's a lot of expense, especially if you're not local. If you don't go to many games it's great to get in a game for cheap, the Forest game was great value and thoroughly enjoyable and I hope this one is too. However, when you go to a lot of games, you sometimes have to prioritise and I will always choose league and FA cup games over the BSM.

I'll be going, and I've been to most cup games this season.

But... there is absolutely no doubt that this competition is seen as worthless. Especially with the addition of Premier League U23 teams, its seen as a cup for reserve teams and fringe players.

If we get to Wembley, then great. But it's nowhere near as important as the league or FA cup

No one is saying it is, but worthless? I'd suggest that if it wasn't for this competition, the likes of Morgan and Kouassi would be nowhere near the first team. It's an opportunity to give players an opportunity in competitive games.

And judging by the crowd, the FA Cup is also worthless unless we're playing Liverpool or Man U. Anyone would think some would only be going to watch the opposition.

It's a competition that we have entered so I'm hoping we'll win it. I'm not in the least bit bothered who else competes in it as long as we beat them. So whilst we are still competing I'll still be supporting my team. In fact I'm really looking forward to it.

MY thoughts exactly . We seem to be a team that plays better in cup competion. WE were desperately unlucky against Nottingham Forest . IT was bolllock cold but nine goals over two legs. I just think the chance to attend live games at reasonable cost is not to be dismissed

How's it worthless the only cup competition we have a realistic chance of winning.

The Fa/EFL Cup are far more worthless, meaningless matches until we eventually get knocked out.

I enjoy going to games whatever the banner it's under looking forward to tonight.

Only 3 teams have scored more than us in the league and we have an exemplary home record.

You’re all just miserable bastards

we should be selling 8 - 10k. Our biggest rivals and people are making pathetic excuses not to go

Im looking forward to it, i enjoy watching live football and given its my own team at a good price then why would i not go just because there are some prem u23 sides in the competition. Makes no difference to my enjoyment at all. Same with the Forest game, that was probably the best game in the last 2 years both as a game and the atmosphere especially 2nd half so the fact some think its devalued or that we'd played forest recently so couldnt be a*sed was their loss

Yeah, but league position matters.

It's no coincidence the atmosphere was far better for a game where we might actually move up if we win, rather than marooned in 8th. The wins have to matter.

Being at or near the top dramatically increases the feelgood factor.

Bolton won this competition last year so have physically seen the rewards that come with it. A lot of teams fans treat it as a nothing competition.

It'll be a decent enough attendance for this competition. For me it's a good chance to win a cup.

Your perception is clearly not shared by all. When we have been bad at home, we have been shocking. Our away form is pants and fans feel we should be doing better. If it's none of the reasons I have highlighted, then we are just a small club, blighted by a catchment area living in poverty.
