Booing at full time

Yates continues to affirm the need to get another forward and Bowler is lazy and seems to be avoiding doing anything which might result in injury.

It wasn’t a turgid lakclustre performance first half. It was a game plan to get men behind the ball and congest the middle of the park in order to try and stop Swansea from passing us to death.

We conserved energy, albeit because we didn’t have the ball, but than then allowed us to start the second half like a house on fire. You cannot simply go all guns blazing against a team as good at moving the ball around as Swansea.

Absolutely this. The expectations of some of our fans is outside of reality

Thats all well and good but doesnt excuse some awful individual performances...Corbineo was abject, Bowler was very poor...Fiorini and Carey werent great...too many off the pace and it made for a tough first half watch

They stuck to a game plan. Bowler wasn’t great I agree, could have done much more. Carey needs to go out on loan to league one or 2. We may not have liked the game plan but it worked and conserved our energy.

Blaming of the management is a shocking, easy get out.

He absolutely would not have been my pick but I have said all along that now he has been appointed he must be given some time...if we lose the 4 o more games he will know about it as the fans will no doubt boo him off...I really hope he can turn things around and getting them playing like that second half all the time. The jury is out with the loan players as Corbeneau and Fiorini have really not impressed these last few games and we havent seen enough of Patino

He wasn’t my pick either and he had made some wrong decisions already but he did NOTHING wrong today. Those skating him for today are fickle and either don’t understand football or don’t want to.

I’m not sure it was turgid, I thought tactically we nullified them. We adopted the same plan last season and other teams do likewise. If you press too high against them, they take advantage of the gaps. Last 10 minutes of the half we definitely dropped off too much.

Congest the middle of the park? We had no midfield. Every time Swansea attacked I saw two rows of our players falling deep. It was cringeworthy rubbish.

Some entitled clueless people at times.

1st half far too much respect given, 2nd half far better, pressing and winning it back, just no quality in front of goal.

Shit to lose to a break away goal, but for some to boo them is poor.

After that there was still clapping which they still deserve, was a tough day to play a side like Swansea. Players gave their all but just didn't happen.

No need to boo.

Why? They are our players and they are trying but it was unfortunate to lose, the only team in the 2nd half that looked likely was us.

We stayed compact to counteract their free flowing football, which they play against every team? Or did you watch a different game to me?

It was a game plan to try and stop a good, possession based team and limit their chances - which it did. In staying compact and getting men behind the ball, it allowed us to conserve energy for the second half performance which we all loved. Whether it was pretty or not, it allowed us to build and get on top of them during the second half. Had we started the first half like we did the second we would have most probably burnt out in that heat and had to have our backs against the wall with tired legs and minds.. inevitably worsening the result.

It’s simple: Bowler not giving it Yates and Yates missing the penalty cost us getting any points on the board.

Yes, it sounds reasonable when you say it. Not so much when watching. If those were indeed tactics then I don't like them. I believe in an all round game but not falling back to absorb pressure.

I understand people are frustrated with the result today, we want to win every game. But pointing the finger at the management team and/or tactics is just a cop out. The 2 defining moments in the game, were from our players being naive.
 
I thought the booing was a reflex action to defeat out of frustration and wasn't sustained.

Not good, but not a whole crowd thing either.

It does sort of stick a big fat pin in the "we're all in this together Blackpool fans are the best in the Champoinship if not the World" myth does it not? I really think we're a couple more defeats from full on toxicity and blame culture overtaking all the good stuff we've won back and it pisses me right off. Fuck me, we didn't even have club to watch until the Oystons were ejected.

I am lost by it mate to tell you the truth. I do not get it. We’re back in the Championship and our last Manager turned out to be a weasel so we are rebuilding and going again. It’s gonna take a few games ffs.

QPR midweek, then Burnley… it’s not gonna be great 🙈

Agree that that's a rank bad substitution but even as Bowlers biggest fan you can't get away from the fact he missed at least two great opportunities to put us in front. That said, who else was a threat?.

Nope you know me, I’m very much like you where Bowler is concerned but to take him off & replace him with CJ was a big red flag.
 
I have never left a match early or booed. True supporter would never do that. No matter how frustrated or upset you were.
