Bowler Set To Return

Still think he will sign for Critchley if looking for an English club. Believe it when I see it.
That just about sums up your complete negativity. Anyone not blinded by their current hatred of the situation at BFC knows Bowler can only sign for us this season. It's been discussed countless times on countless threads but clearly in your desire to post nothing but relentless negative comments that fact has passed you by.

Unfortunately the word on the street is that Patino (I thought he played well today) could be recalled. The Gooners don't want him playing in a relegation team, allegedly. If Rogers and Bowler do sign Corbeanu is obviously surplus to requirements, Fiorini has just been a waste of a signing but we can't afford to let Williams go without a replacement. Don't know if Tharme is good enough back up if we recall him although I think he's injured currently.
that would be a shame if true. I do recall though that it was said that at the start of the season, Arsenal didn't want him to go out on loan but the move was forced thru by himself and his Dad. So you'd imagine he'd have some sort of say.

Yes that is true on both counts.

Ahh so he has no choice; either us or stay in Greece. No wonder we have a chance.

It’s nothing to do with negativity, just shows my disconnect with Appleton and the club like so many other fans I know. I’m so out of touch wow. Bring back Clubcall.

Team v Florists if they let Josh play

Grimshaw
Gabriel Eki New Signing Lyons
Charlie New Signing
Darth
Bowler Jerry Rogers

like I said, it's been discussed on here for a good while now and you have been posting [your negative comments]for a while now. The info was all there for you to see and read. I'm a bit perplexed that if you have such a disconnect too, then why are you even posting on here about BFC.

Don’t read during the week. I’m all about straight to the action of match day and cut the crap.

The disconnect is only temporary until Appleton leaves or we have a decent window so we don’t have play kids in midfield or strikers right wing. I’m still the biggest tangerine tv supporter in the world.

Yes well said I'm afraid Tense Grim does talk shite hence the name. ;)

Not questioning your statement but find it surprising that Arsenal would've preferred to keep him playing pedestrian, sanitised, contact free U23 football rather than gain experience playing at a high competitive standard against men where livelihoods are won and lost!.

like i said, and as Insy confirms, it was only what I read on here. No idea of the truth in it.

Is this a wind-up account? If so well played I’ve fully fallen for it 👏🏻

If you’re being serious then I think you need help 👍🏼

Maybe wait till after the next matchday when you are “straight into the action!”

Are you Alan Partridge?

Deadly serious. People see negativity as a bad thing. I don’t know why. It lays the foundation for positives.

Brilliant, that would give MA his 3 up front for his 433, Rogers, Madine (Yates, Lavery, Beesley) Bowler with Poveda in the number 10 position and Patino or Carey number 8 AND the number 6 they have to buy this window. A right back, a Gary Madine type striker with goals in his boots (difficult to find) and a Keogh type and we will be fine. Only. trouble is we will lose Rogers, Poveda & Bowler in the Summer.

I would guess Corbeanu and Fiorini will go back, unless Fiorini is close to returning then it might be Williams, especially if Liverpool want him playing.
We have a Madine type striker, he's called Madine! 😂

'..the word on the street' - sounds like a 70's US cop show. Was it the blind newspaper seller?

So if he's due back when will it be announced? Surely very soon if there's nothing to wait for?

Why would Bowler come on loan to a struggling team?
He will possibly opt for a higher placed team surely?

Kevlar helmet on, not sure bringing him back is such a good idea. firstly he's not played much football in the last 4 months might not be up to speed fitness wise, 5 or 6 games to get going. Secondly despite his trickery, his contributions (goals and assists) are (were) about the same, minute for minute, as CJ. He was such a head down player he rarely saw other players in space despite often taking three players out of the game. Thirdly he was a complete liability defensively he used to give the ball away so much in dangerous positions trying to do something clever, and cost us goals.

Unless he's learnt to do the simple stuff whilst in greece then I'm not sure he adds anything to the squad. If we had a decent head coach who could get him to be more effective as a team player then maybe, but we dont have a good head coach.

Even using him and CJ in the same sentence is about the same as saying Kerry Katona and Beyoncé both have a pair of tits and a much a muchness. Easily the most stupid post I’ve seen this year.

That could easily win the worst post of 2023 award and it’s only the 2nd of January, congratulations! 😂🙈

I have eyes mate. If 1000 Blackpool fans were asked whether they would have CJ or Bowler. I would be extremely shocked if it wasn’t 1000 in Bowlers camp.
i tend to agree that a vast majority if not 99% of blacpool fans would come down on the side of Bowler, i'm not sure i wouldn't do it myself. My comment isn't whether CJ is as good or not as bowler, its about their relative effectiveness as team players, which is clearly evident in attacking terms goals and assists in the stats of the two players.

Was Bowler an exciting player, yes, was bowler a very frustrating player yes again. In a team struggling to maintain possession a player who consistently gives the ball away in dangerous areas would not at this point be a particularly good acquisition, just my opinion which is obviously worthless

When Bowler got the ball there were 3 opposition players on him, that creates space in the areas that have been vacated. When Hamilton gets the ball there is usually one player on him and he just waits for Hamilton to give the ball away, which usually takes about 10 seconds. You have posted well thought out, sensible arguments in the past. I am afraid you have just lost it on this one, it’s not all about what Bowler does, it’s more about what the opposition know he’s capable of.

Straight to the action of match day without actually watching the team.

As it stands you'd let Fiorini, Corbeanu and even Williams go back. You'd hope to keep Poveda and Patino. But Bowler can't do it all on his own. We still need quality elsewhere.
This.

We need a midfielder and a centre back.
