Bowler

Bowler is second in the successful dribbles list for the Championship, only Sirike Dembele with more.

If you lads are comfortable with one goal and five assists in about 18 games, then you’ve been watching lower league football for too long.
We are a club and team in the acendency you clown and early days and will be confounding f#ckwits like you when we are going for promotion next season.

Goals and assists are lovely if we're playing fantasy football, but we aren't. If you watch games you see how much more threatening we are with him on the pitch. Also, if we sell him, we don't have the replacement already in the squad, so we are wilfully weakening the squad with no guarantee a new signing will come in and hit the ground running.

Wonder if the transfer rumours and requests to speak to him was the reason that Critch played him yesterday?

Like all good wingers Bowler will sometimes frustrate but on days when it comes together will entertain the fans and destroy opposition defenses. I'm sure the Hull left back couldn't wait to go off to save himself an embarrassing afternoon.
I have previously criticized our players being one footed, however I noticed a few weeks ago he had a couple of good assists with his right foot.
Hopefully he will continue to improve and develop into a great player
I should also add that when he has days like yesterday, get the ball to him as often as possible

I think he played because he's one of our best players when he's on it. Their left centre back will be having nightmares about him.

What do I think of Bowler? I hope S.S. is burning the midnight oil to offer him a new improved contract. When I see him I am reminded of Tommy Hutch!

JB was unplayable yesterday, Hull were petrified of him when running at them with the ball and he’s the reason we have 3 points from the game. I sincerely hope he doesn’t want to go but if he does I’m sure SS would only let him leave for big bucks, unlike Oystains who would have cashed in to the first bidder!

If JB moved for £4m when he was 17 then based on the way he's playing at the moment that would be less than his value now. And I wouldn't want him to leave for less than twice that.

Just read that we signed him on a one year deal with an option for another year. Doesn't put us in the strongest position in terms of getting a big fee.
We really need to try and keep him because players with his attributes are very hard to find. With our current squad there is no way we could continue to play 4 2 4 successfully in the Championship if he left.
I'm guessing it would take a £2,000,000+ bid for us to think of letting him go.

Surely we are looking at more than £2m as the asking price, more between £3m - £4.5m. Look at Dale as an example of what £500k gets you.

18 months is decent time on a contract, we should be looking to extend that with a minimum fee release clause to appease Josh and a nice financial incentive for him if it gets activated.

Definitely think we should try and keep hold but Blackpool need to balance the football decisions and the financial decisions. I've also got a feeling that there has been a bit of a financial reality check in our division and Forest will not be spending 5 million plus on players in our division for a while.

I suppose any potential fee for Bowler will be contingent on how much Forest get for Johnson, assuming they sell him. Some reports have valued Johnson at £20m which, if true, would significantly increase Pool’s bargaining power if they decide to sell.

They definitely won't. Clubs haven't been spending those sort of fees since summer 2019. It won't change either. To make money you have to sell to the Premier League clubs, or at least the clubs with parachute payments.
