As predicted by many of us in the other thread! Nice part of the world to get to at that time of year, at least.

Normal Balloon festival has been cancelled and it would have been the following weekend but a fly past only😳
Won’t however be doing that trip down the M5 on a Saturday in August ...too much at my age😉
Cardiff at home ....well that could be a bit tasty with the town full of Taffs....even if they are not allowed into the ground

With restrictions lifted in July, technically means away fans should be allowed. I'd imagine we'd sell out 1000/1500 odd tickets if we were given them.

Still plenty of time for fixtures to be rearranged due to cup/sky so wouldn’t worry too much about the midweek games. West Brom away on Bank Holiday Friday sounds good to me, great away end.

Bristol City on an August Saturday is a dog in terms of traffic. Two lots of my Hartlepool friends went on a Sunday and it took 6.5 hours, much of it on the last 30 miles on the M5.

Had family in Somerset and Saturday mornings on the M5 was always a car park on Sunday after 10am. Still going and back on Sunday.

I still have nightmares about that opening day game at Bristol City 20 odd years ago (2001 was it?). Not only was it a poor 2-0 defeat but we missed most of the game after getting stuck in that bloody balloon festival traffic and then got a puncture on the way home.
Got there At half time 1-0 down. Ended up losing 2 or 3-0 and finished with 9 men. Checked into hotel after game and they had no record of our booking. Everything went wrong

We had Brizzle City first game away in our promotion season so maybe thats a good omen for AVFTT?😄

Its a great day out and the Bedminster cricket club is the place to head for MOT

Why so many midweek home fixtures? That's a real pain in the arse for us exiles who have to work in the week and have bought a season ticket.

Leaving aside Xmas and Easter, I think it’s 4 midweek home and 4 away?

The international breaks take 3 Saturdays out of the equation which has an impact.
