Burton Albion v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 26.12.23

Another festive comment from tense grin.

Need a couple big defenders to cope with the set pieces, particularly the long throw ins.
We will get at least a point today and probably a win

We’ve got 28 goals from 13 home games and 12 goals from 10 away games. Why such a difference? Defence mid field need to be fully focussed for 90 mins and cut out the occasional howler. We should have the consistency, even with rotation the squad is good enough. As usual, hoping it all clicks.

Burtons last win at home in the league was 21 October. This is eminently winnable

I shall watch on TTV from sunny Madeira 😎

Surely a day for Casey to return if they're coming at us direct and aerial?

Just hope he doesn't do anything daft up top.

This all ticket nonsense wants stopping it’s only 12 mile down the road for me I’d of gone today but there’s no pay in the gate it’s ridiculous

All this talk of Dougall being off, Marv isn’t injured, is he? Another out of contract player not getting a look in
Not point in playing players who aren't committed to staying with the club, play the players who are. I reckon deals are already in place for both players to be sold in early January. I would be happier if we can tie Rhodes down with a permanent deal and make sure Dembele stays with us for the season. Weir will go back to Brighton opening the way for Apter to return and take his chance and we need to sign a couple or 3 new players ourselves.

Yeah, whether to stay with us or move on.
Some Blackpool fans were left panicking at the weekend over the future of Dougall, following a post from what appears to be a bot account on X- suggesting the 30-year-old could be on the move.
"They’re just rumours so I’m not going to speculate on things like that,” Critchley added.
"Kenny is here and he’s with us, so we’ll just carry on.”

A bit like your insistently negative posts, ATG.
Not really it's the truth. How many away games will we have to lose before we stop thinking Critchley is Pep?

There is no excuse to keep losing these type of away games. We need to do better and if another negative result today, Critchley should do the decent thing and accept he isn't good enough.

Looks to be a 4-2-4 to me. Connolly and Lyons as wing backs, Hubby and Pennington in the centre, Norburn and Morgan in Midfield, Dembele and Hamilton as wingers, then Joseph and Rhodes up front
Nah he will stick with the 3-4-3

Penn CC Hubby

CJ. Norburn. Morgan. Lyons

Dembele. JR. Joseph

Cheer up Barrow Baresi. It’s Christmas, enjoy the festive cheer and get behind the team and manager.

Ah the weekly 2pm Critchley is a Buffon post. Followed three hours later by the Critchley is a genius post

How come the IPTV footage that's the same camera position (same camera) is so much clearer on the Burton feed than ours?
