Keep 11 players on for 90 mins. Increase the amount of forward play instead of sideways or back. Start with same intensity we ended last match. Shots and set pieces on target. Anything is possible, 1 - 1.
 
Enough of miserable Saturdays, frustration, anger, bewilderment, it’s enough to drive you to drink !! Tomorrow fellow supporters is when the new dawn of the Seasiders begins. Total domination and control of the game, fluent, imaginative, exciting football, total commitment and passion oozing through the players and manager. We will NOT concede, we will NOT have any players sent off but we WILL create many opportunities and those chances WILL be taken. There WILL once again be contentment in households, smiles on faces, the corner WILL have been turned, we WILL believe again and all WILL be good with the world. Burton 0 Blackpool 4.
 
We really do HAVE to get a result here. We can’t afford any daft sendings off and the players really do need to show some cohesion as an attacking unit. Critch is supposed to be building an identity and that needs to be obvious. We have an abundance of attack minded players and that too needs to translate to the performances on the pitch. I’d like to think Grétarsson will start at CB with Husband at LB - that should give us some stability and experience at the back with Epiketa and Turton too. Williams in a holding midfield role, Sarkic against his old club, and then ANY combination of available Attackers and attack minded midfielders should really give us enough options at the top of the pitch. I’d rather Woodburn than Ward but we all know Ward will start (I’m still not convinced as to why). I expect a win, in reality we should win, but I’d take another draw as long as it’s a decent performance and we show some improvements.

Critchley, fire them up, use their aggression with the ball, and attack that f in goal
 
Thought Critch sounded quite holistic in his burton match preview and stated recognition of the obvious issues Didn’t mention Colin I’ve turned more positive and think we may now pull off a win Stats incline to an eventual win away so hoping a 0-2 win UTMP
 
The players will hopefully play with a bit more fire in their bellies now they’ve got Calderwood breathing down their necks. Critchley is obviously enamoured with potential, technical ability, finesse and a players role within his tactical plan. That I think has sometimes left him a little blind to an individuals actual performances on the pitch. Calderwood however doesn’t have much of a history of standing for anything other than 100% so I expect everything that Critch expects but I’ll also be expecting a much higher tempo, winning every 2nd ball and a much more mature approach to game management. I doubt we’ll carry any passengers going forward so where Ward, Hamilton, Kai Kai, Anderson, Mitchell and Yates have all had some pretty ineffective games and at times looked anonymous - that will be picked up on sooner and I’d like to think stamped out.

Oh and a 3-1 win for the Seasiders today with a much improved performance.

Yep, bit annoyed. I've got a 4 o'clock appointment I cant get out of, so I'm not gonna see the match.Really dont know what to expect in terms of performance or score. Just live in hope that when I get back there's something positive to read.
 
Win today, and that will be six points from the last four, which isn’t too bad given the sendings off, although three were home games. Missing a few key players, and I am not feeling particularly confident. Conditions not great for tippy tappy either.

regarding Colin new coach appointment , which I think is needed , so no complaints from me , but
can I ask , was he the only choice , was there anybody else , and why him
just seem to be out of the blue
 
We need an up and at them performance ...on the front foot from the off in their faces and playing with pace and tempo. Attack attack attack. No more of the 15 sideways and 10 back passes unless we are winning. Some will take nil nil as a positive but this is a game we simply must have designs on winning. Time to be positive and take the game to them.

It is unthinkable but lose the next two and we are in real bother.

presume that another weird version of 4 3 3 or 4231 with Dougall and Williams as holding midfielders and KK just in front...it may work...it may not as we spin the selection wheel once again. We really need a settled team as soon as possible as all this chopping and changing doesnt help

Impossible with 2 suspensions, injuries and a positive Covid test
 
Could be 4-4-2 with dougall and Williams in the middle with madine and Yates up front. I've been thinking we should try 2 up top for a while as neither seem to be able to play alone up front.
