Cambridge University

That’s only because they can’t SD in the cramped lecture theatres and tutorial rooms. The students will still be in college and they have the technology in their rooms. Mind you, if I was paying tens of thousands in fees without any teaching contact and maybe no lab time either, I think I would defer my place or even walk away.

Are they really going to do this to medical students and student nurses at a time like this? We’ll need as many as we can get.

Difficult decisions ahead.
I have one lad due to start his final year of an international business degree- I think he could progress ok via distance learning however theres the financial issue of his off campus rent. He already suffered having to pay this terms in full with zero use.

My youngest is about to start year 1 of a media/ film production degree. This is more practical so not sure how it's possible to have the full benefits by distance learning, e.g. use of equipment.

My lad is due to start a Business degree so no idea how it will all work.

Gutted for this generation of kids - my lad is 18 and stuck in doors and looks like he will miss the fun of the first year at Uni.
