Changes for Eastbourne?

Many of the fringe players we’d risk for Eastbourne or actually are we down to the bare bones and there won’t be much room for change? I’d definitely include Kemp.

I’d play a team Capable of winning and progressing to the next round if only to reap the rewards of the extra revenue the club is definately going to need

Viking to keep his place as he is used to playing on 4G pitches!

Also, will this game count towards Ballard/Robson's ban?

Hoping to see Labala and Sarkic get a game in their preferred position against lesser opposition, see if they can get a decent performance in

I'd like to see the team stay as similar to last night as possible, and only make changes that are absolutely necessary.

I think we may see a totally different side though, possibly something similar to the one we put out against Accy in the Sherpa Van game.

Haven't we got the following weekend free as the Ipswich game was brought forward.? Strong team out then all can have a break.

There are plenty in the squad that need some mileage in their legs.
Fojticek could get a start.
Howe Thorniley Gretarsson Mitchell maybe.
Not sure if Virtue or Anderson will be available.
The main thing though is to put a side out that is going to give us the best chance of going through to the next round.

was thinking about this last night. I reckon it will be a strong side and we have a EFL trophy game next Wednesday where the squad can get used a bit more.

I can't see too many changes either. They are more likely to happen on Wednesday.
We need to keep the winning mentality.
The FA Cup is the last match of Robson's and Ballards bans but I assume the latter will then be off on International duty along with Woodburn and possibly Gretarsson.

I think there will be loads of changes
Fojticek
Howe Thorniley Grettarson Mitchell
Turts, Antwi. Dougall
Kemp,Lubala,
CJ Hamilton

The bench full off first team players if needed

Play our strongest team it is important to keep the momentum going. The 4G pitch makes it a trickier proposition and hopefully we have access to an artificial pitch for training this week.

3 lefties in the back 4. That doesn't happen very often.

Maybe but regularly 3 righties so it is just about giving game time,, and it should be strong enough to win Possibly keep most of same side for Leeds match. It would be stupid to risk injury or suspensions to our first teamers.

But players need to keep match fit and we don't have another league game until 21Nov AND we are on TV.
It's anyones guess though. 👍

You’d think that the Leeds game next week is a better chance to play a few fringe lads than the FA CUP, give key men a free midweek leading up to Posh and Donny

Fojitek
Gabriel Marv Viking Mitchell
CJ Ward Williams Kemp
Sarkic
Madine
Agree with most of this. Changes needed to goalkeeper and fringe players such as Kemp, Mitchell and Gabriel should be included. Lubala is fit again now and should get his chance alongside Sarkic maybe. Thornley should be in there too I think.

Make 3 or 4 changes, too many and this could become a banana skin live on TV (wouldn’t be the 1st time we have messed a cup tie up😭) We could also do with a cup run and hopefully still be in the competition when fans are allowed back and make a few quid 😁

Sarkic and Williams are injured so no point risking them. Sims is 2nd choice keeper so why this big love in for Fojticek?
Maxwell will start on Sunday anyway.

Was going to post my choice, but my team was mostly the same as above with maybe the young lad Brad Holmes who is banging them in for the youth team

I thought Sims ahead of Fojticek was something to do with how much homegrown talent in the match day squad, if he is indeed there on merit fair enough. Williams being an arm injury has a chance

Antwi and Sims were both on the bench on Tues.

You said you thought Sims was on the bench because he was homegrown.
That is correct generally.
BUT against Wigan Antwi was on bench and he is a homegrown player. (You only need one)
So Fojticek could have been on the bench if he was considered to be better than Sims.

Your boys are actually training at Priory Lane, late-ish on Saturday after their journey down, and we're only too pleased to be making it available to them.

(They've also booked a very decent place to stay, but I'm not allowed to say where in case exiled Pool fans besiege the car park for autographs. )

Cheers for explanation 👍

I doubt he'll change much for tomorrow - the money from the FA Cup this year could be a God send for sides and who knows things might be different in the New Year with regards to fans in stadium and so we'll worth us trying to get to the 3rd/4th round of the competition. Then Tuesday will give him a breather and a chance to utilise the squad as we then have the following Saturday off.
