Charlie Patino in shirt again

It was ludicrous that MM (with over 1000 games experience) couldnt see there was a big chance he would get sent off. When I spoke to my son on the phone about the first half we both thought he should be taken off before he was sent off. The kid even gave a sight of what was to come when he clashed with one of their players about five mins earlier. No excuses for MM there and he should have been subbed.
Saved me the post.
I would also have gone further and subbed Connelly with Nelson, Connelly's position will always mean he will have to make tackle's that opposing player's can make a meal of.
So for me after the first minute a lot of teams may have targeted Connelly.

What I have said is we should get behind MM as he is our manager for the rest of the season . I also said he was doing the right thing making certain players work harder . I have never said he is perfect and I have my own ideas about the team. Anyway why do you keep putting a load of your pictures in the front of your posts.
pictures of you clownshoes.

Who were interviewed by the Sun? Shame on them for that alone.
The same sort of Dickheads who sung sacked in the morning about Appleton, who I never wanted I'd add. But stuff like that doesn't help anyone. That said it's the Sun here so they probably made it up.

As for Patino, he certainly has something (not pace) but he's not what we need at this moment in time (well not as a defensive mid) I'd prefer him further up the pitch.

I don’t think anyone is turning on Patino on account of getting sent off. He made a mistake and it happens.

Fact of the matter is, after early promise he hadn’t really delivered anything on or off the ball and his lovely left peg is a luxury we can’t afford

If we had a midfield full of players able and willing to get on the ball, get their head up and take the game by the scruff of the neck, I suspect we wouldn’t be going so long so often

Patino has been dreadful since the WC for me, in part because he’s goosed, in part because teams have got wise to his strengths and obvious weaknesses, and also because he’s simply not a natural athlete in a league full of talented athletes.

He could grow into it with time and become a top player but either needs about 2 stone in weight or some go-faster stripes

my pictures are of you, you clown. You've said you want to get clean sheets so we have to defend. Has the penny still not dropped that we are not very good at keeping clean sheets no matter what the manager has tried. But hey, you think he'll have it sorted in a few games time.
And you want to play the Appleton way ,same players in the same positions and you call me the clown.

Idiots

We need Patino. The lad will be gutted at having been sent off. Next time he plays for us he will want to make it up.

We dont have the luxury of just getting rid.
And not only that he's the best midfielder at the club by an absolute country mile

I’ve looked at this o/p and replies several times now and I still don’t understand what his shirt has to do with it

Well I think he’s got the stuff you can’t teach, which is why Arsenal rate him. The vision and ability to play the unconventional pass that can really open teams up.

He’s failing at the moment cos he’s being asked to do a job that isn’t his main strength, as he has much of the season due to our injury mess. Had he played week in week out with Dougall and any one of Stewart, Bridcutt, Connolly, Trybull doing the graft, then I think we’d be having a very different conversation about him.

As others have said, calls to send him back are ridiculous in the extreme.

And he scored against Preston.

Phil, he's struggling and has been for a few games now. He's a good player but I wouldn't play him from the start if everybody was fit and to be fair to him we shouldn't expect him to be in the first eleven. It's the Championship, proper top experienced footballers.

That’s probably right but we haven’t got everyone fit for that’s the problem
