He’s bloody quick for such a big unit is Simms. Great game for him today which is what we needed with no goal machine.
imagine having both battering rams available to us?
Madine can knock their CBs into a pulp for 70 mins then Simms can finish them off (or visa versa)

Just hope the bong didn’t get past the Watford Gap boarder patrols and we can come out strong second half

He’s always had a good strike on him. Had done nothing prior to that, and looked more confident after. Charlton are as poor as any team we’ve played, so my concern for Matty is when he’s up against mobile and good technical midfielders. That’s when Kenny does his quiet work breaking play down.

In an ideal world, for Matty, he’d be attacking in a midfield 3, but that’s unlikely to be the preferred formation.

An excellent watch that. I'm more impressed with our defence with each game.
And I'm glad we're shooting from outside the box (well Virtue is), but I was surprised Charlton gave Matty Virtue so much time and space to line up his shot. Brilliant turn by Simms to create that space though 👍

Like who has said that? Not seen anyone actually say that.

He isn't a right winger. Sensational strike. His finishing is miles ahead of his passing and positional play. If he sorts that out he could be a top player. Superb strike.

Simms has had his centre back on toast all game. Super performance from him.

Now we need to just keep it quiet for the first 10/15.
 
Expect 2/3 early Charlton subs. I really hope we can keep at tight and nick an early goal to finish them off. Yates and Simms need to get one of their men sent off early on too. Then we can rest up for Tuesday !!
 
Let's see how the first 10 mins go - see if Critchley's done one of his infamous motivational talks than manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
