Cheltenham Town v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 13.02.24

Over cautious as usual. We have to really up the tempo. If it stays like this lots of pressure on critch. Changes of personnel and tactics needed at half time let’s not wait til 10 minutes before the end as usual.

Credit to everyone . You can clearly see once again the problem is the manager and at this stage the senior pros for not having a team meeting. No one is blaming the referee.

Piss poor vs 2nd bottom. Who ever thinks this is acceptable wants locking up.

Come on, the stats don't always tell everything, there's more to it than that. It wasn't that bad.

It was worse.

Great coach of kids at an elite club, he's useless coach with a League 1 club. When he gets sacked from this he will join the merry go round of managers in League 2 and below or go back coaching kids. FFS Sadler why oh why are you so shit at picking managers. Of all the shit managers he's employed he completely ignored Holloway, who may well of failed but at least it would have been fun, Stick your algorithms and your yes men where the sun don't shine and pick a manager from the heart not from a ** wank dossier.
To be fair, first spell he was fine. What I don't understand is why the change in complete formation? He started originally playing 4-3-3 which was failing so changed a to a 4-4-2 and it worked wonders. He leaves us for Villa as an assistant and joined QPR playing this shite formation and got sacked within 3 months and he's now brought this shite formation to us and it's still proving shite and won't change. I had patience for him until recently, he can now go for me.

Can I join "that's the worst 45mins of football I've seen us play in a long while" club.
The ball has hardly been on the floor and the pitch is minute which are problems we should have planned to cope with but we just been sucked into it.
The 2nd half surely can't be as bad.

Wanna bet.😁

done more in a minute here than we did in the whole of the first half. And yep decent cross by CJ.

He was only decent when he had a proper number 2 - Calderwood and then McCall. His pen pushing lakkies at the moment are a waste of space.

The difference between this Critchley and the one from the first time is unbelievable.

We were well organized and had a thorough plan, we played Swansea and won with 20% possession!

He’s trying to hammer home this system that just does not work at all.

It’d be one thing if we’d seen progress in its use and application, but we haven’t, same performance and result as the whole season!

Have no doubt that if we’d been playing 4-2-3-1 the whole year we’d be at least 5 points better off, we’re where we are in spite of not because of Critchley.

Absolutely shocking performance. Kouassi out of his depth. This is on Critchley. Change to a back 4 please.
I tried to warn people that Kouassi’s non league at best. He bundles a couple in against a kids teams and many of our plonkers are raving he’s the new Drogba. He’s that bad I’d actually rather play Beesley and he couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Perhaps says it all that the only positive comments so far have been about the built-in burger van - which in fairness looks cracking!

Hoping for a better/more entertaining second-half - suggest some close-ups of the menu, lengthy reviews of the food etc…

Incorporate similar into the new east stand?

58 minutes. A shot on target! Weak as piss header from Kouassi, but a shot.

Cooking on gas now 🥴
