USA only just scraped through with a draw against Portugal who hit the post in injury time.
 
England and USA have been poor so far but tournament football is often about growing into the competition and being ready for the knock out rounds. It would be good if they can get a convincing win to put a marker down. As I type, 2-0 and a decent goal.

That isn't offside at all. Why are they even checking it?
 
That needs explaining to me, she's offside when the ball comes in. She makes ZERO attempt to play the ball. Walks into an onside position after a chinese player plays it and then it's then offside? That's an incorrect interpretation of the rules.
 
How is that offside? She isn't interfering with play at all, until the ball comes of Russo at which point she is clearly onside.
 
That is a weird offside call. How long are you offside for ? Surely when onside players have touched the ball and you are back onside when u touch it.
 
Ridiculous decision. She came back onside and got no advantage from the initial offside position.

She's only called that because she was asked to look at it. Pressure. Poor from the referee. It ultimately won't matter but you need stronger referees at world cups especially in the tighter latter stages.

Ridiculous decision - yes, Bronze was offside in the move before but not directly before the goal. Every single goal at any level could be wiped off as most players have a moment or two where they are offside. How far do you go back?
 
Calmed down now, just seen Bronze dragged a China player back who was trying to close down the shot for our 3rd goal so maybe that dodgy VAR evens things out!
 
weigman should be demanding clarification after the game why that was considered to be offside. Not from the match officials but from uefa and they need to admit their mistake and make the officials aware of the rules and why they got it so badly wrong.
 
Another pathetic handball penalty. They do my head in. Glad there is no VAR in League One. In the very limited time she had to react in she seemed to have pulled her arm behind her back as far as she could to me.
 
As much as James is an outstanding player, two or three times in this match she has given cheap possession away in dangerous areas and the last one led to China's penalty.
