Wanting to do Coventry by train, what’s the best way once I’m at Coventry train station ,is it train to Coventry Arena then walk or bus to the ground .

Yeah one train every hour and I bet the buses are rammed.Might be best to bus it, don't think many trains stop there on match day
Bit disturbing. I've never been but me, wife and dog have hired a cottage for four nights at Cubbington so that I can tick it off this season. I was planning to get a lift into Cov and do a few good ale pubs at lunchtime then make my way to the ground. So, is that going to be difficult or - as a Coventry virgin - can I simply follow the tangerine hordes?Nightmare whichever way you go
Yep I thought that was the case tooI'm pretty sure they stop the trains running to the Arena around match time to 'avoid congestion'.
Mental.
from city centre it’s a football special bus or a 15 Quid taxi journey from memory, went on a mini bus last season.Bit disturbing. Reading the reviews on the football ground guide from visiting fans, there are comments that you shouldn’t assume you can get on to the train because of capacity issues.https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/coventry-city.html
with respect of the Coventry City stadium, this is easy. There is a train station aptly named ‘Coventry Arena’ located towards the south east corner of the ground; this is serviced by West Midlands railway with London’s Euston station under an hours ride away.
Yeah and no chance of a taxi after the gameReading the reviews on the football ground guide from visiting fans, there are comments that you shouldn’t assume you can get on to the train because of capacity issues.
My understanding is they built a new station but the trains that run on that line only have 2 or 3 carriages. So the station is only there because of the ground, but you can’t reliably use the station for games or gigs.. WTF
It’s also interesting that neither the football ground guide, or as far as I can see the CCFC website, have any details about how to get to the ground by bus from the city or railway station.
It’s almost as if they want the only option to be driving and paying a tenner to park near the ground..
I would suggest researching possible bus routes from the city to the ground on the travelline website, They can stick their 15 for a taxi where the sun doesn’t shine,,.
Let’s hope there’s a football special bus ,from city centre it’s a football special bus or a 15 Quid taxi journey from memory, went on a mini bus last season.

It’s arguably the worst ground to get to in the league.Wanting to do Coventry by train, what’s the best way once I’m at Coventry train station ,is it train to Coventry Arena then walk or bus to the ground .
