Town is full of 'em. Lovely day when the sun pops out btw.

Got two bars full of Cov. Confident bunch. Union Jack Flags everywhere. Love to beat them.

Giving away home advantage when you let the away team have all of the East. No chance of making Bloomers a fortress with that amount of away fans in. Absolutely ** stupid idea and one that will cost us.
Tbh it was only when they were winning did they really chirp up, bar the pre game stuff.

Just a shame the players were utterly pathetic today.

WTF are the club letting the cunts into hospitality for?
Don't mind giving them the whole east but when you start letting them infiltrate areas where there are home fans you're asking for trouble.
That's all I'm saying as it's boiled my ** piss all afternoon with some daft "security " wanker just stood there when it started to boil over.

Way to go Sadler, you can coin it in next season when Pompy, Derby, Cods and others come to Bloomfield Rd 🤬😔
Agree but what can we expect when there is a massive sign just by the scoreboard advertising hospitality to ‘family friendly’ away fans. Whatever the fuck they are???

Said it all season.
The meeting the other week said:
We feel away fans getting the entire East Stand gives away teams a competitive advantage. What are the Club’s views on this?
BM: If you look at the £91m figure SS is proposing to put into the Club, that would get bigger if we didn’t utilise sales to away Clubs in the East Stand.

£60k / game is it really worth it to lose that advantage?

Hilarious that you don't get the point.
Because your chatting shit.
Birmingham, Blackburn and Barnsley we all beat last season.
Recently Stoke and drew against Burnley all of which sold out the East.

Having away fans next to the North actually makes for a better atmosphere if we get beat it's because we are shit sod all to do with selling out the East.

Cov fans were just enjoying the moment which is what we'd have done if we were playing well, had momentum and were 4-1 up and looking towards the play offs. I didn't hear anything nasty, just banter. Maybe a bit arrogant but we would've done the same.
I don't think giving the East stand to away fans is the problem, it's our inability to play a simple pass to another player in tangerine that's more of an issue.

Over 4,000 Poverty fans in today...must of felt like a home game to them (circa 30% of gate)
We may well cream a couple of hundred thousand from away tickets this season with the current strategy but if we had literally no away fans and stay up it would be worth at least a couple of million to the club

I want away fans at the ground but let's be honest our 12th man can get outgunned by so many in the East

Big nail in coffin today for me...if we can't produce a display after a 6-1 Tuesday win I just can't see us getting the points we need in remaining games as we just can't string performances together

In English please.
Can you explain how in the last month we beat Stoke and drew with one of the best sides the Championship has ever seen in Burnley then for selling out the whole of the East.

You can't so chatting shit.👍
If you're not capable of reading then it's pointless trying to have a discussion.

Oh I can read but your posting utter dribble we lost today because we where shite and them good fuck all to giving away home advantage.

The atmosphere was cracking first half but you wouldn't know not being there.👍

Decent enough following. Dead silent at 1-1 which was a bit odd considering they had been the better side.

We need the money. So we should accommodate. I think 200 Cov fans would make more noise than the Knobs when they bring 2,300

No problem at all with Coventry fans filling the East. We didn't lose because they had extra fans, we lost because they scored four goals (helped by a dodgy ref admitedly). And it adds to the atmosphere imo.
We've seen teams in trouble this week because of finances, we need to maximise every opportunity to bring in revenue. Makes sense

Spot on!

Make £200k this season on seat Sales but lose £2m tv and sponsorship and that makes sense...** hell!

Atmosphere is one thing but the advantage, however slight, is crucial/critical

these games are marginal and any advantage needs to be taken to stay in this division

Are you seriously suggesting we put a limit on away fans? Not only does it add to the atmosphere it brings in the money which funds the players we can bring into the squad. Insanity.

Do you have a clue what your posting the TV deal is way more than 2 mill in the Championship before sponsorship.

We're crap because our head coach left days before training started then it took time to make a crap appointment, followed by the list of targets thrown in the bin and a load of hot and cold kids loans and unfit signings not that we sold a few extra tickets on a derelict stand.

You've got to have a limit on away fans other wise what's the point of playing at home! It's a massive advantage for the away side.
Extreme example 1974 the board gave Man U 16000 tickets and surprise surprise we lost 3-0.

That’s absolute bollox! If you think giving away fans like Coventry 4000 tickets has cost us our season then you need to give your head a fuckin wobble! The season has been a disaster from the moment Critchley left us in the shit and the errors in judgement at the top have been glaring! Didn’t we take 3000 plus to Wigan and got beat at which point Applecart should have been sacked?

So we agree poolseaider...tv money tops a couple of hundred grand for giving the away fans 30% of attendance to the ground we can't fill

Why do it then it it gives any advantage?

Our 12th man was on top until the team capitulated.

But there's no doubt having fans the full length gives teams support at both ends.

Let's not forget we're cut adrift in the relegation zone and aren't playing very well.

Fuck sake...read my posts on this issue please as I am not advocating this as the reason we are going down
Fine margins and a strong away following affects games/players perform (subjective I know but most who read this, I hope know what I mean) as have been to many away games to know this

Stoke we beat and Burnley who are the one of the best Championship sides ever we drew against sold out the East.

Last season Barnsley, Blackburn and putting six past Birmingham all sold out the whole end the advantage thing is an utter myth peddled out after a defeat always the same on here looking something to blame now it's selling tickets FFS.

TM l get what you’re saying but you have made a comparison with away ticket sales this season and losing TV revenue and sponsorships which is due to relegation driven by our on and off field performances.

Fans both ends of the pitch
30% of attendance
Away fans in abundance in home ends hospitality
Stoke 16 attempts at goal (I'm guessing having been at the game)
Burnley 85% possession (I'm guessing again having been at the game)
Last season...blah blah blah

What advantage please explain?

Blackpool would not have won 5 and drawn 5 at home in the Premiership season if the whole of the East side had been given to the opposition in my opinion..the ground was bouncing and very intimidating to the away players...
The club needs to fill the north side of the East stand with Blackpool fans..proper prices and marketing may help...

Nonsense just pure conjecture and with a ground as small as ours we wouldn't have been able to give aways in the PL big followings.
Bigger ground who knows didn't affect Blackburn & Wigan etc when they sold big away attendances when they had their moment in the sun.

And yet people are banging on about making the stadium a 20k capacity. The only reason why we used to be able sell most home tickets in the Prem was because of the local plastics and those just wanting to watch Prem standard football.
We're building the stadium for decades ahead and hoping to grow.

We can already muster about 12k home fans for big games when not doing shit, 4k away and your up at 17k when segregation is factored in already.

We could do woth a bit of room to grow into, 16k isn't enough.

Correct so let's just because of a myth throw thousands down the drain and next up complaining that we haven't spent any money on players.

** Idiots.
It definitely helps away sides having them all along.

Doesn't mean we can't beat them if were any good. Also doesn't mean we don't outsing them if we're not getting battered that is.

If we were any good and near the top of the league we'd be able to sell our the 3 sides and then have half of the east ourselves to fill.
