Just stop peddling lies. I know Pratson is an inveterate liar, but the early lifting of the restrictions is a move to try and get himself off the hook. Did you not see the various scientists and doctors on TV today saying that he should have waited.

I believe the science, not the people who peddle lies for their own selfish interests, whether they are politicians or business people

That's the news agenda, I'm sure if they wanted they could've found just as many scientists and doctors who would say that the laws no longer serve a useful purpose.

It's largely symbolic anyway, those who follow the law will likely follow any guidance that replaces it, and the rest aren't following the law already.

In fact, there's an argument to be made that the SI law is counter-productive, it discourages those who might have Covid from getting a test, when they might not be able to completely SI but might change their behaviour if they knew they were infected.

Beyond this incredibly minor change, that's dependent on a continued decline in cases anyway, is there anything else you think the government should be doing differently?

It’s not a case of opinions it’s a case of fact, to die of covid you’d have to be either really unfit, 49 stone or sadly be seriously ill with something else, its also fact that in the last two years there’s been many days that there have been more deaths from road traffic accidents than covid. are you suggesting that nobody drive a car or cross a road.

Oh well. Whether it is one or one million deaths, we are heading back to a state of normality again. So I guess some will have to strap on their big boy pants. My only hope is that these scientific advisors aren't allowed to darken Boris's door for a second longer than they already have.

We've never been in 'lockdown'. Has anyone literally been forced to stay indoors? At any point?

He claims to be challenging these so called "rwnj" views when it's pretty blatant from looking at this forum that the overwhelming majority of posters are left of centre. And he claims he's just balancing up the numbers. Like I said, he's an absolute fruitcake.

That's my point. I would hazard that the biggest points of cross infection over the last two years have been the shops. People in so called lockdown going out every day for an essential Daily Mail and a pint of milk. A true lockdown would see shopping restricted to maybe once a week, or even online deliveries, if you're really doing it.

Everyone thought they were abiding by the rules, but it was always based on their own interpretation, hence the tutting when someone else didn't interpret it the way they did
