Critchley OUT!

Any manager who picks Connolly at left wing back should do the honourable thing and resign immediately. Should have happened weeks ago. That isn’t a dig at Connolly either.

Piss poor today but I’m willing to give Critch more time. People were giving him pelters for his slow start last time in L1 and this is eerily similar, so I’m still hopeful he’ll come good. That being said, CJ had the worst game I’ve ever seen from him today, and we really need a rethink of this 532 system because it’s clearly not working.

Poor CJ is responsible for making things happen. Any normal football club and manager would play a system that has full backs making overlapping runs and providing the space for CJ to attack. Not Critchley though, he sees something none of us see.

Not sure why you want Critch sacked , with our record wed probably replace him with Paul Ince.
Needs to ditch his daft obsession with wing backs and play our best players and we'll be alright.

Because he plays Connolly at left wing back and we get battered every away game? We can’t accept that. Simple as that. Yes it’s early but there is no sign of change or progress and for me it’s actually getting worse away from home.

Miles better manager than Critchley.
Both pretty stubborn in sticking with a formation which the players aren't able to play. Appleton with his 4 3 3 and Critch with his 3 5 2 Also not playing players in their favored positions.

Although we did eventually sign the players Appleton needed, but bizarrely that was after he'd gone

Think Critch needs more time, but surely he has to ditch the 352/532.

He should have ditched it weeks ago. It’s actually bizarre. He must be the only man in the country who would see Connolly and CJ as wing backs never mind on their wrong side. If you say that to yourself a few times, you actually end up laughing.

Just shouldn’t have been re-appointed in the first place.

I honestly think we’ve actually gone backwards from the Appleton appointment.

Who next Sadler Roy chubby Brown?
What’s Graham Westley up to?
He would be a top Nobber selection for our next msnager.
And there would still be people saying “give him time.”

Never works for Pool second time around, just a procession of failures!

I’m nowhere near the stage of wanting him out. He has my full support. But:
There’s 2 issues where everyone can see the solution immediately.
1. Stop playing full backs on the wrong side of the pitch
2. Stop going long to Beesley and not even competing for the 2nd ball.
Don’t need to be a football genius to sort those 2 out.
And don’t moan about marginal offside decisions being decisive today. We were garbage and got what we deserved, nothing. Don’t insult our intelligence by suggesting otherwise

But it isn't ffs. The last time he was here you could actually see what he wanted us to do, we had a team and squad who could do that, but this season it is just a shambles, what Critchley wants is simply not going to work with what he has, this season is going to be shambolic with one good 45 minutes and then shite throughout.

Critchley flatters to deceive time after time, the man is a cabbage of a manager ☹️

Beesley and Morgan are L2 players. If anyone thinks they will get us into the championship they are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Agreed, Beesley is not up to this level. But we’re making him look worse than he is by tossing unwinnable balls to time and again

Didn't watch it because I was playing myself...but where the fuck was Lyons ,? CJ again....arrrrrghhh...what the fuck!?

Critch seems very reluctant to do what worked last time when he was in League 1, a back 4 with fullbacks playing on the correct side.
Two experienced defensive midfielders, with one of them being able to join in the attack, and then 4 attacking players in front of them.

In the first half today it was pitful, long balls to Beasley who isn't good enough, and the ball always straight to CJ instead of in front of him, he
just kept returning the ball back.

Critchley the cabbage of a manager - is not the answer to the massive problem that is entertaining football at Bloomfield Rd - nor is the squad he has assembled ☹️

I sometimes think I should make an effort and raise the posting standard on this site, but I can't be arsed any more, generally because of threads like this, what's the point really when we just have a fanbase made up of reactionary children?

CJ makes Adrian Forbes look world class in comparison

It’s hard to believe he ever worked under Klopp.
Although the initial 'recommendation' of Critch for the BFC managerial vacancy came from Stevie G, I'm assuming the current LFC manager must also have actually leant his support to the proposal, and, for that reason, if ever I was to bump into him socially, as a rebuke for that perceived misdemeanour, I can honestly say that I would clip Klopp...

He will just get someone in as bland and uninspiring as all the managers he has appointed since he bought the club. He really has absolutely no idea about football, he should stick to what he is good at and that isn't running a football club.
And you do? You thought Liverpool and Man City played 3-5-2? On that point, do you think Liverpool's owners or Man City's owners are football experts? You have an agenda and talk garbage to try and fit whatever happens into your agenda.

Neil Critchley's first season in League One wasn't going well at all until Colin Calderwood was appointed as his no.2.
Some fantastic loans enabled Blackpool to have a brilliant central defensive partnership between any two of Marvin Ekpiteta, Richard Keogh, and loanee Dan Ballard. Midfield benefitted greatly with Elliott Embleton and the forward line vastly improved with Ellis Simms.
This season, after playing well and beating Wigan, we've returned to full scale defence, which we are just not good enough at, especially with players out of their natural positions, and in a new 3-5-2 formation.
If things don't quickly improve, I fear we could easily slide straight through to the 4th Division. Halfway through last season, I predicted a relegation followed by a League One relegation battle. When Stephen Dobbie had the caretaker manager's job for the last six matches last season, I felt relieved for our future, but now, I'm fearful for it.

Agreed, but I think we may have given Morgan a 3 year contract, if so, why ? Charlton fans said he was no better than a squad player in League 1. Couldn't we have seen that ? Maybe we expected to sign some better midfield players later, but we didn't.
