I can see critchley getting it and being made to take dobbie as assistant manager. Not the worst idea but certainly not the best way to get the fans spending on season tickets
 
Sadler needs to seriously consider what's best for the club and not get too drawn into this moment we are currently in. It's easy for fans to want Dobbie after 6 games but he has to think it through and Critch is proven at this level and this club.

I'd be happy with either of them. Yes, I'm annoyed with the way Critch left but as a grown man who has suffered a thousand worse things, I'm sure I can move past it and focus on football.
 
I wouldn't particularly object to Critchley. I'm sure I can get over him not saying bye and not praising us as the best fans in the world.... In fact I already have, it took me about a day.
Would still rather Wellens or Dobbie though but NC is better than the rest of the tripe that's been linked with us.
 
Can anyone name a manager whose second spell managing a particular club was better and more successful than his first?

I suspect a deal is done for Dobbs or another but SS is waiting on Downes (think that's his name) coming over from Sheffield ahead of announcing as a unified approach.

Had they not had the remarkable comeback last night I think things could have moved quickly but it could be that Downes is tied up until Wednesdays season is completely over.

I don't think they'll wait until the playoff final and may now revise the approach but he must be astute enough to have everything in place given the time that has been available. Even with Mansford, his notice period would be substantial, I guess we found out long after SS did.

Timing and factors beyond our control could be the reasons behind announcements rather than actual progress happening behind the scenes.

I could be too trusting but having our fingers burnt last summer and with SS business acumen, I really do think its a case of timing rather than lack of action or planning.
 
It’s taking a long time, but if it’s Critchley that’s understandable, play it around the back for 5 minutes, when pressed, give it to the keeper who boots it as far as he can upfield to giant defenders who easily win the ball, giving it to their midfield, who immediately pass it forward. Yes, if it’s Critchley , it’ll take time.
