Just how pathetic can this country be?
A suspected highly trained terrorist spy escapes from prison by attaching himself to a van which drives out of a London prison without any checks.
This country has become more than embarrassing in every single which way - it is ridiculous how bad things have become. I am embarrassed to be a UK, tax paying, honest law abiding citizen, we seem to be the laughing stock of the planet yet again ☹️

Unsure why you seem so certain that there were no checks.
Checks will have been part of the system for vehicles exiting that prison, whether or not they were carried out has not yet been confirmed.

But he escaped - how embarrassing and unsecure is that? This man is supposedly a terrorist threat ffs!
 
Of course it's an embarrassment, but the investigation will be looking at the whole process.
How was he allocated Cat B?
Categorisation is a process which looks considers and takes in to account a wide range io things.
That allocation will have come from HMPS HQ in conjuction with, and agreement to the police, the national counter terrorism unit, Probation Service to name just a few.

Will have posed as a model prisoner to gain trust, and subsequently allocation to the kitchen.
That will have had to been approved, and signed off locally

Despite what the press are saying he will have been a washer upper or veg preparation hardly the chef the media are portraying him as.
 
But now he's been caught.

Our heroic Cruella dropped from a helicopter and brought him down.

He's now on his way to a plane which will take him to Kigali.

Well we'll soon find out won't we. Nailed on to win the next election and as you're all expecting Starmer to
be the saviour of the UK, then all should be well. No more escaped prisoners, no more crumbling concrete.......

Sadly the Labour Government won't be able to do much in the short term because of the run down in public services, and especially the catastrophic effect of Truss economics.

But you've been on here for ages saying how much we need a Labour government. Now it's coming you sound like you're having doubts. Or are you getting your excuses in early just in case Starmer isn't quite the golden boy you hoped he was?

You have a very limited understanding of economics and politics. I feel for you.

The Tories have made a shambles of our economy, and have lurched further and further to the right. They've sadly purged the party of One Nation Conservatives.

I'd be happy with Labour/ Lib Dem/Nationalists coalition to get rid of the right wing nut jobs.

The lunatics have been in charge of the asylum for far too long.

Coming from the person with probably the most narrow one track political mind on this board
that's rich.
And please don't feel sorry for me, I neither need nor want sympathy from the likes of you.
Anyway, it'll soon be all rosy in the garden when Kier waves his magic wand.

So who, apart from you, has claimed Starmer has a magic wand?

Personally I expect very little.

But an improvement on Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak would be good.

And that’s before I start on the likes of Braverman, Schaps, Patel, Raab, Kami Kwazi, Jenrick, Rees Mogg etc etc etc.

It’s just time for a bloody good clear out.

The one thing pathetic in this thread is that there are people on here who think that somehow Labour would be any different. All controlled by higher powers for a start, and you have a leader who cannot answer the question " what is a woman " .

Be under no illusion both labour and conservatives have continually cut prison funding.
"Prisons are not for profit" but both have happily overseen new prisons awarded to private companies.
As a public service HMPS continually achieved targets, which, if anything, made them an easy target for funding cuts.
As an example, a geographical prison region that had a yearly budget of £60m, was asked to find £5m of savings within 3 months.
30 yrs ago, the prison population was md 30000s , mid 90000s now.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise you pay peanuts you get monkeys, staff pay had virtually not progressed over that period

Back to thus kid, will be a systematic failure of vehicle exiting a prison which led to his escape.

Certainly opportunistic as if he had pre planned it the Iranians would have whisked him away, or he would have had somewhere arranged to lie low for a couple of weeks.
Could have been a propaganda coup for Iran if they had got hom there and paraded him in the media, the fact that they haven't makes me wonder how serious his original offence was.
One things for certain, he'll now be in stripes, Cat A and sat in HMP Belmarsh.

You clearly have issues. Of course Labour will be different. What higher powers? If you mean the Establishment, they're not the power they used to be.

I have issues when your beloved Starmer cannot answer a straightforward question? Any government will not give a crap about you, your family or your life. Far too many in this country think the opposite which is why we are heading towards totalitarianism.Only last week whilst everyone is distracted by fake news and trivial headlines they have all voted to allow energy companies to be able to force their way into peoples homes to install smart meters. And recently all approved another bill to make protesting illegal ( unless of course you are part of some woke LBGTQ, Islamic, or BLM brigade). Meanwhile the orchestrated mass import of twenty something Muslim men with no papers, criminal intent continues unabated, cheered on by the left. No I have no issues apart from with fuckwits like you and the pricks moderating this site who stifle free speech, particularly if you dont happen to be woke or support Labour.
