That was my only visit to Adams Park.

Won a night game 4-1 on my only visit there. Early 2000s I think. Absolutely lashed it down and the 4th goal was a direct result of the ball literally getting stuck in a puddle near the goal. Seem to remember the bus driver been called out on the tannoy to move the bus rather than watch the game

I was at that infamous afternoon in a local club full of Pool fans.
Strippers and live acts.
Remember a disappointed Pool fan saying “ Bloody hell, we have a Football match to go to”
Another Pool volunteer after a lively act “ I have to back to my bloody wife tonight”

We lost 2-1 with an Andy Preece goal.

My first time next week.
Did you go by car and if so, is there parking nearby?
I did. The ground is in the middle of an industrial estate so there isn't on street parking. You'll have to pay poss a fiver to park on one of the businesses car parks. If you decide to park in High Wycombe itself, it's a long walk uphill to the ground. Take the hit and pay by the ground !

Cheers DA, I'll defo take your advice and park in one of the estate car parks if it's about fiver - that's not too bad.
Anything that saves me having to walk up a hill will do nicely.........😆

Bullock had a stormer that day

The White Horse ! Name of the pub not part of the act !!

I can't remember much about the match I went to. I just remember I was living in London and went by train and it was a bloody long walk to and from the train station to the ground!

That 4th goal was the great John Murphy sliding in from about the penalty spot ahead of his marker. The ball had been crossed in but got stuck about six yards out. The keeper had dived out to collect it but it never reached him and he was last seen slithering in the general direction of Reading.

Only been once - Megson's season - we lost 1-0 - he got a fair bit of abuse that day!
Soulless place - not wanted to rush back!

2001 or maybe 2002, I was doing a course in Windsor, lived, ate, slept breathed that course but on the middle Saturday, Pool away at Wycombe, just had to have it! Drove there, I remember the ground was an awful place to get to, at the end of an industrial estate, parking miles away. I seem to remember we drew. Martin O´Neill was their manager at the time.
