Demi Mitchell has left the building.

Shame as he could be good and last season had some good moments this season looked dangerous in pre season then got injured and never really got back in.

I think he could have still been an option as we know it takes time to build confidence etc.

However we do now have Dale who can play a similar role and has done for a long time and possibly has a higher ceiling.

All the best Demi, great character 👍

Looked promising pre season but beyond that he’s shown glimpses but never really delivered. Can’t recall a game he’s seriously impacted. If we want to progress in this league we need better.

Harsh, but true. Absolutely wish him all the best though.

Good luck to him... He's been solid enough when called upon and slotted well into the system, but if we are going to push on in the Championship, then we probably need to be looking for better and if we've managed to secure a fee for a player who was likely to feature less and less over time, then you can't really argue with that... Hope he gets some game time and makes a success of it👍

That's a HUGE thumb x3 😗

That pre-season injury was really cruel on him as he had come on a lot in those pre-season games.
I really liked him and he should do well up there.

Undisclosed fee.

His value is 270k on transfer market, doesn't mean anything though 😂

That's a real shame, he was on fire in pre season and that injury didn't do him any favours. So another one gone, we better start getting some in or we won't have enough to field a team!!

Good luck to him, really liked him and he will do well there.
I seem to remember you rating him more highly than Kenny. 🤣

He's a good lad Demi, all the best, Scotland will be a good adventure. And Edinburgh a great place to live.

If we have made £250k on Demi it's good business.First non deadwood transfer out of the Critchley Cresh. All bolsters the kitty for other targets.

Played very well in our promotion season, but never got going this time round. It's a shame that he will be remembered for giving the ball away cheaply, which led to Middlesbrough's winner in time added on!

That's a shame but you cant keep everyone and keep on signing new players to improve the squad, so if we got a decent fee, hopefully a good move for everyone, and helps keep our progress sustainable, turning frees into fees. All the best Demi!

Good decision to sell - Not good enough for championship in my eyes - Scottish football should suit him better.

Have a feeling Charlie Kirk to us will become increasingly likely now, my only issue with that deal is that if it's on loan and Kirk performs well, Charlton will want a big amount (they won't be mugged off like Crewe with Dale) if we want to sign him on a permanent.

Hibs are top half of the SPL and just got 2,500,000 for Martin Boyle. Demi was contracted to us for another two years so I doubt we accepted anything less than 250,000, which IMO is good business, hopefully this can help facilitate a move or two by the end of the week.

All the best Demi.
Can’t see us getting 250k surely. 100k max imo

I suspect we've pretty much recouped the money we forked out for Dale, and if that's the case I think it's a good bit of business by the club. I think Dale will end up making a greater contribution to the team in terms of goals and assists than Mitchell did or would have. I'm not going off much when talking about Dale because we haven't see a great deal, but he's showed he does have an end product already this season.

Mitchell better athlete, more pace, but got a knee problem. Dale better technically, more likely to provide assists and goals I reckon. Will develop with games hopefully.

Seeing so many negative comments on social media following his exit most of which go along the lines of ‘not good enough for the championship.’ Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re wrong. Truth is he never got a run after an unlucky injury in pre season.

Anyway, regardless of whether he is good enough. Why do you feel the need to make those comments? Do you ever think about the player who might actually read them? And do you forget that he was part of the special team/squad who got us promoted? He was in the 11 who turned it around at Wembley after a disastrous opening minute. He provided the cross that led to King Kenny’s winner for crying out loud! Show some respect. Morons.

Good luck Demi, thanks for being part of a successful Blackpool team.

Exactly that, and I think this decision has been taken because we already have pace in the side with Lavery, Bowler and CJ. What we need is someone that's better technically and with a better final ball. It's probably too soon to tell if Dale has that but he certainly showed glimpses against Reading.

Interesting week ahead.

It's there in videos from his Crewe days too.

Yes true, player of the season and got 11 goals in the league last season which is very decent for a winger. Looking forward to seeing how he does with a run of games in the team, and with Keshi out it's a good opportunity for him.
