I will be surprised if there is no one in before the close of play tomorrow. We need to see some threads with players coming in, not going out. I know we needed to get rid of some like Howe but so far this window we have had in Beesley and Dale (who was already with us) and out: Mitchell, Wintle, TJJ, Howe and Nuttall. We have bought back Robby and Thorniley, both could be going out again before the window closes. We are likely to add Gretarrson to that list too. We have 7 days to get 3 or 4 new players in or we are going to be desperately short on numbers.
er, probably none. If Hibs came in with an offer and we accepted it and he thinks he'll get more game time there then why not?Wonder how much that mistake versus Middlesbrough and the fan reaction afterwards had a bearing on his decision to leave?
Howe and Nuttall weren't in the 25.We need to see some threads with players coming in, not going out. There were several threads on it including another the game after comparing his mistake to one Yates did but got away with one game later. Plenty put the knife in not just on the mistake but his all round game and lack of future prospects. If he read any if those threads, he might have thought, well if that's how I am viewed, time to seek pastures new.er, probably none. The thing is we don't want to pain buy either because this is a crappy window usually with most clubs not wanting to sell players and if they do they are inflated prices and the danger is we then go for players who weren't necessarily top of our lists. I think you may be right about Thorniley and Robson but if Critch wanted them out on loan they were hardly in his plans so will they actually get any game time? I don't have a problem with the players that have gone, 2 of them weren't our players anyway and Mitchell clearly wasn't going to feature. It's the injuries that have really depleted us and the fact they are all long term ones. Looking at the list we are short of a left back and 2 central midfielders, maybe another winger too so I expect him to get a couple of loans in and maybe buy a couple.Howe and Nuttall weren't in the 25.
From the 25 we've lost Mitchell, Wintle and TJJ, with Gretarsson about to go too it seems. 4 out
Into the 25 come Beesley, Robson and Thorniley. It sounds like Robson and Thorniley will stay to me. Needs must I think, so many midfielders and left sided defenders gone missing. 3 in.
Probably 3 ish more to come in. Window presumably closes next Monday?
He also put the cross in for Jerry didn't he against Oxford at home? I thought he was rampant towards the end of last season.Seeing so many negative comments on social media following his exit most of which go along the lines of ‘not good enough for the championship.’ Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re wrong. Truth is he never got a run after an unlucky injury in pre season.
Anyway, regardless of whether he is good enough. Why do you feel the need to make those comments? Do you ever think about the player who might actually read them? And do you forget that he was part of the special team/squad who got us promoted? He was in the 11 who turned it around at Wembley after a disastrous opening minute. He provided the cross that led to King Kenny’s winner for crying out loud! Show some respect. Morons.
Good luck Demi, thanks for being part of a successful Blackpool team.
Only one of the outgoings featured regularly. If the players Critch wants are not available in Jan happy with current squad plus youth till summerWe need to see some threads with players coming in, not going out. not disputing there were several threads. But if is a mighty big word to suggest he came on AVFTT and read all the threads and that made his decision up to leave. There were several threads on it including another the game after comparing his mistake to one Yates did but got away with one game later. Didn't say it made his decision, just had a bearing on.not disputing there were several threads. But if is a mighty big word to suggest he came on AVFTT and read all the threads and that made his decision up to leave.
It won't have made the slightest hint of an impact on his decision.Didn't say it made his decision, just had a bearing on.
Definition of have bearing on
: to affect or influence a decision —usually used in negative statements.
It certainly isWelcome to the manor Demi . . Leith is a wonderful place

I'm not going to predict what will happen cos even the people involved in negotiations can't do that. It's a good opportunity for Robbo and Thorny, I'm sure Critch will try to give them opportunities and it could help their careers. You can see that Critch exercises a duty if care towards his players, as well as the responsibility of getting results for the owner and the fans. It's good management. The thing is we don't want to pain buy either because this is a crappy window usually with most clubs not wanting to sell players and if they do they are inflated prices and the danger is we then go for players who weren't necessarily top of our lists.
