Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury 3

Fury will become one of the greats of this era. Said it for years.
He’s a freak, he shouldn’t be able to move the way he does given his size.

Wilder has a punchers chance that’s it.
Wilder will be a completely different fighter tonight after he had his eyes opened and ass handed to myself.... I've a bad feeling about this

Punchers chance like you say though

Had a great stream until end of first round so have to make do with a watchalong now.

I hope the Gypsy King doesn't go down as easy as my stream.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have done it but the time the ref takes checking if either was OK after a knockdown has helped the downed boxer all the time.

Fury is on another level to any heavyweight. There's not another heavyweight on this planet who would have recovered from those 2 knock-downs. Fury is pretty much untouchable.

Brilliant performance by Fury by knockout

More a courageous performance than a brilliant one Pete but I know what you mean.

I don't think his pre fight plan was to be knocked down twice in the fourth but he certainly recovered and responded well.

A good fight and glad I watched it - all bar the second round anyway !!!!!!

I wonder what excuses Wilder and his supporters will use now. Best performance yet against Wilder

Surely that wasn't a better performance than in his last fight Pete.

Tonight he was again the better man and fully deserved his win but he was 2-0 down and came back to win 3-2, he won the last fight 5-0.

He showed great character though and he is a great character.

Interesting comment from Fury that Wilder couldn't even show respect when he was both well behind on points and knocked out

Wasn't a better performance but definitely a more conclusive ending. Knocked Out, no towel thrown in, no excuses.

Couldn't agree more Pete.

Trash talk goes with the game in boxing before the fight but I like to see respect between the fighters after.

Look at Liam Smith after his win, he was complementary and respectful to Fowler.

Wilder should do better but as the Gypsy King says that's his problem and he will still pray for him.

Fury is everything you want from a heavy weight, quick feet and head movement, can take a punch and has more than enough power to knock anyone out. Plus he has unbelievable recovery, probably better than any other fighter I've seen. That puts that one to bed, Wilder is an incredibly dangerous fighter but now Fury needs to unify the division and see off AJ to prove all the doubters wrong. Well done Tyson! 🥊🇬🇧

AJ needs to join the queue, there's other fighters more deserving of the chance to fight Fury.

AJ hasn't got any belts! There's 6 months probably before a rematch with Usyk, another 6 months to the winner of that v. Fury.
Imo fury beats them both fairly convincingly.
Great fight tonight, brutal, skilful, energy sapping (to say the least).

The AJ v Usyk rematch has been confirmed for March. I'm sure Fury will fight the next taxi off the rank a few weeks later, hopefully then setting up the unification fight this time next year. I really can't see it being anyone other than Usyk but would love to see AJ v Fury. Don't get me wrong, AJ would be KOd within 4 rounds but it would be an amazing spectacle.

That fight was up there with the best. Superb stuff and well worth getting up for.

As others said the "lancashire la la la" was great.

Shame AJ lost but he wouldn't have a chance against fury, just would have been nice to finally see the fight.

Watched it this morning when I woke.
What a fight. Bizarrely I’ve more respect for Wilder now. He took a lot of punishment and kept coming.

I really wanted Fury to stop the war and pick him off from a distance from round 6 onwards as I was worried he’d get caught again in a slug-fest.
