Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury 3

Brilliant from Fury. Especially to dominate the fight after that fourth round. He deserves all the belts and should get them - hopefully a late summer clash with the winner of the Usyk v AJ rematch. Neither will beat him.

Just watched it this morning. Absolute classic brawl for the ages. Tyson's cardio is incredible. Great fight. Had everything.

I hope AJ watched that. He would have seen he dosent belong in the same ring as Fury.

Yeah that's exactly how he's thinking right? Far far superior fighter to Wilder in all aspects bar I guess "Wild right hand knockout power" but footwork, technique, combinations. Everything about Joshua is better than Wilder.

Fury v Joshua can't be called for me until we see it.

Joshua wouldn’t last a round with either of them!
My god that's a load of absolute shite. Wilder is horrendous.

Fury should have got rid of him ages ago. Unreal fight, but it was very slow at times. Tempo no where near what Usyk and Joshua put on the other week. Albeit absolutely no where near as entertaining as this morning.

Usyk beats Wilder very easily. Joshua also beats Wilder. Dillon Whyte absolutely destroys him. His record makes him the most overrated man in the history of boxing. He knocked Fury down due to fatigue and ring rust.

Lost respect for Wilder with that nonsense at the end. He got battered in most of the 3 fights and can't even be man enough to admit it. Pathetic.

I hope he retires and he can look back at his padded record of knocking out complete bums and being proud of it.

Holds the WBC title, the most prestigious belt and defends it numerous times but he's shit, because Kurt says so. Absolute Bollox.
Quote me properly.

Wilder is garbage. Name me a top 10 heavyweight, in his prime, he's actually beaten? You can't because he hasn't.

Yep a positive aggressive AJ is still dangerous. Fury can't just walk him down like he can to Wilder, who is poor technically. AJ can be far more ferocious on the inside.

Fury can be hurt and when he goes down he can recover but he stays down quite long and nearly counted out.

Would Fury go back to tippy tippy jabs to beat AJ or go full on?

Fury is put down pretty easily, but recoveres fairly well in that time usually. AJ stays up and is buzzed and then gets hit more so takes more damage and slows more. If AJ gets tagged he'd be better taking a count at times.

With the right trainer AJ could still beat him. If Fury is caught by AJ who has more power in his hooks and uppercut etc and jab then anything can happen.

But he's not looked the same since he got beat, so it's a big ask right now.

Bookmarked for prosperity 👍

He has been fed bums to knock over most his career.

He's been losing many fights and needed the big punch to pull him out of it, against stiffs.

A dangerous fighter but 1 trick only, runs out of gas when pressured and his chin is a bit suspect.

Just watched the fight for the first time. It will go down as one of the all-time classics. Wilder was huge compared to his previous fights and, to be fair, showed a lot more than he previously has. Tyson was still too good for him though.

The genie is out of the bottle with Joshua and Fury knows he can knock him out. Personally I think Tyson will beat him comfortably just working behind the jab and then then hitting him with a big bomb. Im not even sure AJ would beat Wilder as Wilder would know that if he connects its goodbye goodnight Joshua. I dont think AJ would want that fight against a puncher like Wilder. Tyson is the best of a slightly below average group. He would have struggled in any of the Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Foreman, Frazier and Ali eras.

Not seen any of it, Wilder had one chance coming into it but apparently even that wasn't enough for Fury's chin. An Usyk fight would be great and tougher to call than any other match up currently.

Joshua? I don't see what he has to stop Fury, he can't out brawl him, can't outbox him, maybe could put him down with a shot but couldn't stop him in a million rounds, a knackered out of shape ring rusty Fury got up from Wilder's best, what's Joshua got? His only chance would be a cagey one on points, a below par Fury and a lot of luck.

Congratulations champ - pride of Lancashire 🥊👑 & both boxers left the ring fit & well.

He's been defending his title for God knows how long and that will involve fighting mandatories against top ranked fighters.

Wilder would KO AJ mate deffo

Glass chin and he wasn't even British
Shows you know F all about boxing. Fought and beat every man he faced including all the most feared fighters of his era. Born in East Ham London (in Britain last time I looked) lived there till he was 12 when he moved with his mum to Canada. Fought for Canada as an amateur. As soon as. Turned pro was offered American, Jamaican, Canadian citizenship he chose Britain as the place of his birth to represent.

Calm down sweetheart, I was taking the piss.

So how does this pick a nationality work.

We've got the tennis player who has lived here since two and most are saying she's British/English.

By using the above formula, shouldn't Lennox Lewis be classed as Canadian as that is where he moved to and was brought up as a kid.
Spent most of your life in a country have citizenship you can choose them, parents Jamaican you can choose them, born in a country of course you can choose them. You would have fondness understandably for them all.

I used to think this, but Wilder also has a far, far better chin, and arguably more heart given the way AJ wilted vs Usyk and Wilder went out in his shield.

AJ vs Wilder is a 50/50. AJ vs Fury is not.

Agree about Wilders record being absymal. Incredibly protected and oddly his best performances have been his 3 (yes 3) defeats.

Watched a post fight thing on dazn with a commentator and 2 x boxers they seem to have being saying that wilder doesn't do any road work at all, if true that's surprising.
