Sept 1stWhen does the window shut
Didn't for jimmy armfieldNo, money talks for everyone, the club and Jerry, it’s a short career.
I know, but a different era, one club players we’re pretty widespread then.Didn't for jimmy armfield
Sadler does as he pleases, he really don't give a f about the likes of us - the fans who feed and support "his" clubLoads of time and interest from Coventry, Leicester, WBA and Ipswich apparently. I'd be amazed if Jerry is still with us on 1st Sept. What with all the people boycotting shirts, Sadler has to ballance the books somehow!
Not even remotely close to what we've had before, you probably need to be more worried about what you've been smoking if you honestly can't see the difference.I really don't understand why people keep blowing smoke out of Sadlers arse, he's the same as we've had before, not as bad as we've had before but same kind of mould.
Little Blackpool we will remain as long as people (chairmen, owners) are looking to not lose too much money.
Manure came in for Jimmy and he wanted to go but the club wouldn't let him. Players were tied to their clubs in those days and couldn't leave without their permission.Didn't for jimmy armfield

That's called a contract.Manure came in for Jimmy and he wanted to go but the club wouldn't let him. Players were tied to their clubs in those days and couldn't leave without their permission.
If that's the case, good! If Coventry are willing to pay £8m for Simms but don't think Yates is worth half as much they can fuck right off.I wonder if we're pricing teams out of a move. We've rejected £2.5m as we want more, and Coventry really the only team rumoured to be interested, but with it being reported they're set to sign Ellis Simms for £8m, I can't see them spending close to £4m on Yates as well. He might stay simply because no teams can afford the price tag!
But pre-Bosman contracts didn't have a specific length, they were permanent until the club ended them. Doesn't alter the fact that Sir Jim would have left if he could. That's called a contract.
Not quite the case. The transfer tribunal came in in the early 80s. But certainly in Sir Jim’s era no player could go to another club without the selling club’s permission. But pre-Bosman contracts didn't have a specific length, they were permanent until the club ended them. I thought the transfer tribunal just settled the transfer fee between the clubs when they disagreed. Not quite the case. The transfer tribunal came in in the early 80s. But certainly in Sir Jim’s era no player could go to another club without the selling club’s permission.
On the main question, I don’t see anyone interested in paying the current fee for Jerry at the current time.
