Dressing Room Lost...... O/P Now Edited Sacked @40 Seconds.

It would take a Keogh type to come out and say it. And we don’t have anyone with that mentality in the group bar possibly Husband. You can just tell they have lost their mojo trying to play this system amidst all the relentless chopping and changing.
I get what you are saying i really do but i don't feel that there is a split in the camp, i think there will be a few of the squad that would speak up if that was required, i just don't see a divide, things haven't gone right on the pitch and IMO everyone has take responsibility. Only one man picks the team and he isn't always going to get it right

One thing that stood out for me is where he he says this is 'out of character'. I don't think it is. It's quite consistent with most of the away performances this season albeit by the far the worst.
Exactly what I said on twitter. We've played similar (maybe not as bad) as that 6/7 times away this season where the opposition team has been physical, direct and out worked us and we've looked really poor and idealess. And then in that interview he has the cheek to actually say "i would have changed it if I knew how to" - what does that even mean he's the manager. Make early subs, change the formation, put Marv upfront, do something man!!!

Last time round he was a bit of a tinker man but at least i felt his tactics were flexible. This season has been so rigid it's bizarre and has cost us heavily away from home against poor teams.

I do think the players were an embarrassment last night too, where's the pride to get into the game on a personal level?

This is all about opinions we all have them, we all think differently about things and we are all right, anything i have put down is my opinion only so i'm right.

Nothing wrong with that and not trying to change your opinion. I just don't know how you can shift the blame towards the players when the same outcome happens regardless of who plays. The root cause is management; not the players and here's why:
  • Formation
  • Back three are terrible and all over the place. Add to the fact playing three means we have to sacrifice a forward thinking player.
  • Wing backs offer nothing going forward
  • CJ playing as a wing back away from home continues not to work
  • Lyons at left wing back is just silly
  • Midfield over run. Byers and Morgan were chasing shadows last night
  • Players look defeated and don't believe in the system
  • Kouassi is nowhere near ready and been thrown in to lead the line
  • Too reliant on Dembele and Joseph. They have no options when attacking.
  • Reluctancy to change formation
  • That first half was one of the performances I have seen in my life and he didn't make a change until 70 mins.

As i say its all about opinions, on your last point i can't comment because never saw any of it, May i ask how a 3-5-2 system works or should work

Last night was dreadful and although CJ had a bad game I am struggling to identify anyone who had a good one.

At the moment the team doesn’t know how to create goals or score goals . Lavery has lost it and Joseph doesn’t seem to know where the goal is. I like Kouassi but he needs time and flinging him into this team is doing him no good.

The defence lacks confidence and doesn’t work together. The defending for goals we have conceded is below League 2 standards.

The midfield is lightweight and aside from Morgan doesn’t know how to move the ball forward at pace. Byers will be a good addition.

Dembele has skill but can’t tackle and is too easy to nullify meaning our midfield is overrun every game.

Last night probably needed a midfield three of Byers, Norburn and Virtue.

Grimshaw saved the penalty superbly but was at fault for the first goal imo and his inability to come off his line causes panic.

Losing Dougall and Dale has removed some creativity and what we are left with is a mid table team which will see out the season without troubling either the top or the bottom.

Perhaps the players have more integrity than Critchley and don’t wash their dirty linen nor play the blame game in public.

Agree with most of your post about Critchley ,but I think you are wrong about CJ . We all know he isn't the best header of the ball and he isn't our most physical of players ,but when he had his good spell and he was laying on goals and scoring them , the players were putting the ball in front of him . I only saw one ball that he could run onto throughout the whole game . If the other players aren't capable of putting decent balls in front of him to play to his strengths ,then that player should not be singled out. I'm not saying he had a good game ,he didn't like every other player , but he shouldn't be singled out for other players lack of ability. Byer's said his ability was to look for through balls for attacking players , I didn't notice he was even playing.
He certainly wasnt the worst on the pitch, the few times he was given the ball to run onto he got crosses in or was hauled to the ground, but no free kick. I thought joseph put in a shift, morgan huffed and puffed, the defence was all over the place, grimmy made some good saves and kept the score more or less reasonable cos it could have been 5 or 6, but consistently flapped at crosses and set pieces - GK coaching problem. Kouassi was another who huffed and puffed, got some decent flick-ons but no one following up to take advantage. Byers didnt really do enoughto suggest he's anything like a replacement for Dougall, but then Norburn was supposed to have that midfield anchor and has been a complete disaster.

At its core, 3 at the back should be an attacking set up.
But our midfield was totally non-existent.
Nobody showing for a pass, everybody marked or hiding, zero composure or quality.
That's a coaching & tactics issue .... NC ... he should have been going bananas on the touchline coaching them during the game.
What did we see - a follded arms waxwork.
Chelt's centre mid Elliot Bonds is a real player. Bossed it, and bagged two.
Ex West Ham I think, has been injured a lot.
Head and shoulders above our midfield squad.

Last nights performance was that bad and totally demoralising but I find i can't even be arsed getting involved in arguing with all those who are that blind that they cannot see what is happening and how so much is generally so wrong with how we are playing. And for me, that's pretty much a first.

Watching your football club is a bit of an addictive drug. Maybe the boycott, followed relatively closely by lockdown, has created an element of rehab. Maybe the ties are not quite as strong as they were and the defeats do not hurt in the same way. Certainly watching dull as dishwater football does nothing to strengthen those ties.
Please don't tell me a Blackpool defeat doesn't hurt.
Watching my team lose in the 60's hurts exactly the same as watching that pile of shite last night

The clue in the sentence was maybe and not everyone will be as deep rooted.
Fair enough, however both my lads were texting well into the night furiously and they've been going since the mid/late 90's.
How far back do you have to go to be 'deep rooted'
I always thought it was your 1st game, hooked, tangerine 🧡

If that was the case we would have a full house every week. In fact we would be bigger than the Wendies.

Take collective responsibility, tell us why no changes were made until 70 minutes, tell us how he’s going to turn things round. Just tell us something to give us hope.
To me he has been honest, i haven't seen any of the game so cant comment on why he hasn't made changes he obviously thought things might change as the game goes on giving the players time to correct things, how can i give you hope, i personally don't think certain players are doing their jobs and what is expected of them. When you say take collective responsibility have any of the players come out and said the performance is unacceptable? if they have forgive me

The balance was tipped last night and a lot more understand where his critics have been coming from so let's have your say, please.

The players, to my knowledge, haven’t had a post match presser, Critchley has. He said in it the first half was unacceptable, yet made no changes. You say you didn’t see any of the game so can’t comment, you’ve done nothing but comment. I did see the game, the whole game last night. I therefore feel fully justified in commenting on everything that happened, as it happened. I think you should just leave it there. When you find yourself in a hole, as they say, stop digging.
