Dressing room

Does anyone think that Critchley is, or is going to lose the dressing room soon. It can't be good for the players to be booed or have no fans at the end of a game ,but this is happening more and more often . They can't possibly be happy in the way things are going and Critchley can't keep lying and saying the players played well today even though we lost 3-1 and should have been 4-1 . I think he is losing it.

Never had it! We win one and he's the master of all that is good. We lose and it's the players fault. He's disingenuous as his slithering out of the door to Slippy G showed. I honestly can't call it how we will go football wise. Before Reading the poll on here showed circa 25% were still supporting him with 25% not and 50% unsure. All down to the crap football and results. I think he started to worry that his 3rd sacking in a couple of seasons was looming. So a bit of positivity was employed and a couple of wins later, against a Reading side in turmoil and a lucky 1-0 against a far better Barnsley team and a bit of hope we might be arresting the rot. I'm not sure after last night? We weren't terrible, but the terrible tactics were back on full show. I really feel he has to prove himself more than last time. He hasn't yet.

No chance. The lads love working for Critch
I was in hospitality last night and there was an interview with Doug Tharme. He spoke very highly of Critch and said he had turned down loan moves this season so he could carrying on working under Critch even though he's not currently getting any game time.
I picked up on that last night too. Same with Hubby’s comments pre Barnsley and what Jerry and Big Gaz have said in the past. Can’t see Critch losing the dressing room any time soon.

Heard it all now. When 2 good wins on the trot then 1 loss leads to the loss of a dressing room then I'll give up on the game. Nonsense!

Sorry , I only remember 1 good win against a poor Reading side. If Barnsley was a good win ,we have a poor season ahead of us .We may have stopped them getting a shot on target ,but they could have had 2 pens and we only had 3 shots and 1 of them was a penalty . We may have won at Barnsley ,but we were poor. Also not only players are getting booed and stands are emptying before the end ,but players are sometimes playing well and then getting dropped for the next game . Its a shambles and the players aren't totally stupid ,they can see it.

Not with the outcome obviously, but it's a football match. You know the deal when you buy the ticket.

I could understand your point if the players showed zero effort or passion but, whatever your opinion of the game last night, it lacked neither.
Agreed i watched the replay twice and thought we played very well don't know why all the moaning on here (they took their chances we were a little unlucky yesterday) it's football ?.

Barnsley is a tough place to go. It was a good win. The players battled extremely hard. Absolutely no sign of a lack of effort which would be indicative of him losing the dressing room... nowhere near in fact and rightly so.

It's quite easy to look at some-ones posting history so no need for any black book. It's called technology. Maybe it's you who is pathetic or just plain thick for not realising that.
Not quite sure what you are getting at. Half wit.

Far better Barnsley team? What planet are you on?

No shots on target Barnsley, is that?

The truth? Blackpool is and always has been a brazen place. Sophistication?...not in our dictionary. Holloway came and his teams gave us a style of football that fitted like a glove. The same with Dobbie. We understood his style and lapped it up. That's what we like, even when we lose. Trying to play like a Prem team is not our style. We want to impose ourselves on the opposition. We applaud the Peter Clarke last ditch tackle. We love the 70 yard cross-field ball. We love effort, get-into-'em, stuff....peppered with some skill and a bit of sophistication. What we don't respond well to is the steady (yawn) build up that enables the opposition to get behind the ball. We've seen Tom Ince and Matt Phillips tearing up Cardiff's ground and dominating them. We've seen GTF dancing past the opposition defenders. We've seen Brett putting his head where it hurts. We've loved it. Perhaps Critch's style is not for us. Perhaps as a league one side, we should be grateful for a coach of his stature. Whatever the truth of it...it's a difficult one to call.
I agree with this but, you need to make your mind up re sophistication 🤷‍♂️

The fans were loud for 5 minutes last night then mostly not. Aside for the goal chant and ok ish for the crap Lavery white Pele chant. It’s nowhere near as good as the Lavery’s on fire chant IMO. Team wants fans to sing - fans want positive play on the pitch. Often we get neither. Chicken n egg thing innit.
I keep hearing about our 12th man but I have to say I don’t hear him when watching on TTV.

It seems pretty quiet tbh, not a patch on the noise we used to make with way less fans back in the day…

Don’t get me wrong mate, I am in north stand Ablock and when we are on it we are the loudest fans around for the number. If we get an early goal it’s superb as the fans sing real loud. Worth considering that commentary is above the away fans, so you are likely to hear them IF they are singing. Often they are all looking at us and wishing their lot were as loud. Oh, for an early goal.

Think we pretty much asked the same about Appleton and McCarthy last season and yet nothing ever came out.
Critch is a good coach and a good people person and maybe the players need to take themselves to task before looking at the manager.

The only person that can do anything about Critch is SS and he eventually did do something about the other two ,but too late. Also Critch having badges and certificates does not seem to be working on the practical side. He was fortunate to have good advisers and backroom staff the year we were promoted . Since then he has failed at Villa ,QPR and it seems this time with us. Finally if you think that going to another club for more money and not mentioning the support he got from Blackpool management and fans make him a good people person ,Jimmy Savel and the Crays are probably on your list too.

Dressing room should be fine, it's down to Critchley 's team selection & ** set up (inverted wingers Grrr)
Perhaps worth reminding some on here that Mo Salah plays as an inverted winger.
However, he does drift across the front line during the game.

We’re only about £149 Million short. Otherwise get him signed up & I’d almost forgotten about his £300K a week wages. Critchley would probably play him as a centre half though.
