Dressing room

Does anyone think that Critchley is, or is going to lose the dressing room soon. It can't be good for the players to be booed or have no fans at the end of a game ,but this is happening more and more often . They can't possibly be happy in the way things are going and Critchley can't keep lying and saying the players played well today even though we lost 3-1 and should have been 4-1 . I think he is losing it.

yep agree with that.

The players are happy. What they aren't happy about is the groans every time we pass it backwards to recycle the ball.

A few boos, with the vast majority too bored to boo, Last night was down to the team and coaching staff full stop.
It's a two way street, the team performs then the fans back them, and bloody loudly may I add, but the fans need something to back, and sorry to say Critchley and his tactics are boring negative football, we won at Barnsley, but we were lucky.. and totally agree that most fans were too bored to boo,

You can tell we lost can't you? Won 3 from 4 before last night and Critchley was a master tactician according to most of the board. Lose the next one, our wonderful fans start booing and has he lost the changing room?

The truth is we don't have a team that is going to romp this league, nor has any other club. We do have a squad that is a match for more than most in this league, but we have some challenging fixtures this month. It will be no surprise if we lose again on Saturday, but it won't mean we should sack the manager or the owners should sell the club.

Out of interest should we as paying customers be grateful for what we received last night?
Not with the outcome obviously, but it's a football match. You know the deal when you buy the ticket.

I could understand your point if the players showed zero effort or passion but, whatever your opinion of the game last night, it lacked neither.

Critch has his plan and he is sticking with it. He will play this formation, no matter what so it's a case of the players having to fit the formation not the formation having to fit the players, so it is obviously going to be more difficult because we don't have the right players to really make his formation work. It has worked, at times but that is more down to weaker opposition, If teams come to Bloomfield Road and play like Derby did then we will not do that well, but then Derby are a top 6 side. I think, on balance we are a mid table side, but is that because of the players we have or the tactics of the manager? Probably a bit of both. It's so frustrating though as a supporter.

I can only imagine it was a happy camp after the last few results, especially after getting a hard thought win at Barnsley.

The result last night should be put to bed. There were positives in our performance but some questionable decisions from Critch. Derby outsmarted us tactically last night and punished us on the counter when we were pushing higher up the pitch.

They will regroup and look to get something at Charlton. Critch is far away from losing the dressing room IMO.

Not disagreeing with the overall sentiment but we weren't lucky at Barnsley - that was a good solid away performance. It won't cut it at home though.

One thing we should remember is there were games and performances like this in his first spell. Come the end of the season we were as good a side as anyone in the league. My concern at the moment is we don't really have a jerry to really make the difference.

I don't think so but there does seem a lack of enthusiasm with the fans and the club.

Relegation has hit hard, Critchley being re-appointed split opinion and on top of that we didn't make crucial signings.

We needed a proper play maker and centre forward but unfortunately they are out of our budget.

We have made a lot of signings but apart from Norburn & Rhodes all a bit hopeful and speculative.

I still think we are a decent side and when everybody is fit we can certainly compete.

Listening to Radio Lancs whilst ferrying the kids to different activities, our supporters were loud as were theirs for the first 15-20 mins, before boredom set in. It's a shame as after the away result, the fans were up for it last night. The football wasn't though. More fresh faces in January and farm a few out. I don't see what Sonny Carey brings to the team at the moment, and the sooner Connolly isn't played in defense the better.
Need Kouassi fully match fit and playing, he was clearly missed last night. I'm still optimistic - we're 3 points off 5th and 6th, with a game in hand on 4 teams above us. This league is full of similar inconsistent teams, we need to find the formula to being consistent.

Do Man City fans groan whenever they pass backwards?
What an absolutely stupid reply 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Each and every Man City player has more skill and nouse than any Blackpool player on show last night.
They 'recycle ' and I bloody hate that phrase, the ball that way, because 95% of the time the final ball from them is FORWARD and into a danger area.

We do the same and you know its tippy tappy @ the back, no one makes a move/run and it's launched over the top hoping someone might get on the end of it, more often than not they don't get on the end of it.

City play a decisive, quick passing game.
Blackpool play a sluggish, cumbersome game.
Having said all that I can see where you can see the comparison🙄

we are into a really difficult run of fixtures, NC needs to turn it around but fear he will stick with HIS system which will lose us more points than gain wins. End result will be seen him leave / removed before the end of the season. This squad should be doing a lot better in this league than the position we find ourselves in and sorry I dont see it getting better any time soon.

total nonsense statement/question!

City fans will know that when they go forward they go forward with purpose. We don't. We are slow laboured, predictable and usually end up hoofing it long.
Agreed, there's a slight gulf in quality! The thing at any level is pace - any time that passes and moves with pace from one end of the pitch to the other generally does well - defenders will always struggle. Our issue is we're trying the possession and build up play, but then lump it or lose possession. At home at least we should be playing a high tempo.

No, they don't. But they don't have to suffer anything like the same high precentage of backward passes that we're being forced to endure. A key difference, wouldn't you say?
Yes but they have been adapting to that way for a number of years, we have been playing this way for what 10 games?

Same with what you usually post.

Either way, the original point about the groans bothering the players is not an opinion its a fact. Hence why we then probably force it with a pointless hoof.

Also, we didn't last night. Yet we did against Reading.

yep, and what about Port Vale and Orient and for 45 minutes at home to Burton. The poor performances comfortably outnumber the good ones. Bet hey, you carry on watching with your eyes closed. And please don't talk to me on what I post. You've made just 41 posts in three years and here you are comparing our style with Man citys with regards to passing.

That’s the problem, why play a system where you haven’t got the players to make it work, surely any manager should look at what he’s got and devise a strategy to get the best out of them. Attempting to fit square pegs in round holes is just plain stupid.

Regular viewer mate. Prompted into action by the overreacting nonsense written on here this morning and an initial post which I answered in part with facts.

more shiite from you. regular viewer but rare poster says everything. can see it in so many of your previous posts what your intentions are. so why don't you go back to being a regular viewer.

I was in hospitality last night and there was an interview with Doug Tharme. He spoke very highly of Critch and said he had turned down loan moves this season so he could carrying on working under Critch even though he's not currently getting any game time.

losing the dressing room is pathetic. No professional player should stop working for the club/manager because they don't like them. Entitled players who do that.

We in my opinion were lucky to win at Barnsley, yes we defended brilliantly , but had they taken there (very good) chances, we'd have been done...Its all opinions though, onwards and hopefully upwards..

So then 10 league games in now and he’s not given me any confidence at all he’s the right man for the job.
We’re already 9 and 10 points behind the top 2 clubs granted less for a top 6 spot.
If Sadler has any aspirations at all about promotion this season then he needs to ditch him now otherwise the gaps will just get bigger and bigger and we’ll end up mid table at best.

I don’t like Critchley, but we will have more depth in quality when Gabriel, Lyons and Joseph are back.

Joseph in particular will give us the choice of 3 very good strikers with Kouassi and Rhodes.

The question is, will Critchley be able to get the best out of a talented squad at this level. Will he be able to change things up in terms of formation, because we are predictable. With Kouassi we can get away with it, not without him.

The truth? Blackpool is and always has been a brazen place. Sophistication?...not in our dictionary. Holloway came and his teams gave us a style of football that fitted like a glove. The same with Dobbie. We understood his style and lapped it up. That's what we like, even when we lose. Trying to play like a Prem team is not our style. We want to impose ourselves on the opposition. We applaud the Peter Clarke last ditch tackle. We love the 70 yard cross-field ball. We love effort, get-into-'em, stuff....peppered with some skill and a bit of sophistication. What we don't respond well to is the steady (yawn) build up that enables the opposition to get behind the ball. We've seen Tom Ince and Matt Phillips tearing up Cardiff's ground and dominating them. We've seen GTF dancing past the opposition defenders. We've seen Brett putting his head where it hurts. We've loved it. Perhaps Critch's style is not for us. Perhaps as a league one side, we should be grateful for a coach of his stature. Whatever the truth of it...it's a difficult one to call.

I see an element of our fans are unhappy again, what will the next reason be. Hope Sadler has learnt from the past and ignores these whisperings from these nincompoops.

The fans were loud for 5 minutes last night then mostly not. Aside for the goal chant and ok ish for the crap Lavery white Pele chant. It’s nowhere near as good as the Lavery’s on fire chant IMO. Team wants fans to sing - fans want positive play on the pitch. Often we get neither. Chicken n egg thing innit.
