East stand

In all seriousness it would make great sence for the work on the East to start now.
With only the likes of Massive, Noblot, Wigan and possibly Port Vale, away attendances will be well down on this season.
Get it done and IF we're lucky enough to return to the Championship straight away the financial implications wouldn't be so bad having a new stand for the 24/25 season 👍🏻

Derby, Barnsley, potentially Stockport, Pompey dependent on how they're doing and when in the season it is, there'll be quite a few who will bring plenty.

Having said that if it was up to me away fans would get a max of half the East stand instead of consistently giving away home advantage

There's the question of compulsory purchase of the remaining properties on Henry Street and detailed planning permission to get through before any work can start on the stand. No chance of that happening in time for the end of next season. Presumably it will also need to be coordinated with the other work on the Revoe revolution.

I'd put the away fans in block A of the north and have block B as segregation. At least it would stop juvenile idiots chucking stuff at the opposition.

In theory, yes. But that would be in a timescale ahead of what was planned so perhaps the money isn't in place at this time?

I’m sure the east stand is due to be starting at the end of next season and be ready for august 24/25 season starting

They can't hang about with it, because they secured funds from central government for the Revoe regeneration I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong). In which case there will be a defined time limit on using those funds.

They can't hang around with it, but that doesn't mean they can expedite it.

The construction programme is not exclusively tailored to BFC's wants and needs.

Disagree...

Better to put them in the SE corner blocks Y&Z plus possibly block X, giving them upto 1600 or so...

Cordon off half of block W for segregation.

In the old days the away fans were always in the east side of the kop, with a line of dibbles twixt them and us. Half an eye on the match and the other looking out for flying pennies. You young UN's don't know you're born 😉

Suppose the question is which will come first the Training Ground or the East Stand and how much was Mansford pivotal to this and how far will his departure put these plans back?

Fleetwood's big white tent has gone up at Poolfoot meaning their academy is upgraded. Fortunately, we prioritised infrastructure last season, so no need get jelly.

East Stand is happening regardless. Shame it can't be this season - League 1 is ideal for us having a capacity reduction if our aim is to get back to the Championship...

All speculation seems symbolic of the poor communication and lack of clear plans between club, council and fans. A bit Clandestine as usual.

I'd say 50/50 at best tbh. We have one director, the rest have all left, there's no head coach, a recent record of poor appointments, and half a squad. Hell of a lot of work to do and a lot of improvement in decision making required.
I know, but I’m a fan, we’re always optimistic
