England v Hungary

Can't believe Callum Styles is starting for Hungary.
It's not that long ago that I was watching him play for Bury u/18s.
I do remember speaking to his Dad after one particular game saying how impressed I was with his son's performance.
It does prove that you can make it whilst playing at Category 3 Academy level despite what some of our learned posters will tell you.
 
I've literally only watched the last 5 mins we failed to get over half line and conceded utterly embarrassing
 
Let’s see after 90 minutes how many attempts on targets this lot can create. Have to question how negative we are in yet we allegedly have so many great attacking players. About to fall asleep watching this XXXX 😞
 
I had high hopes for Saka and Bellingham but both have been absolutely shite so far in these games.
 
Our left side is particularly shite here. Totally unbalanced, always turning back inside than either losing it or back to the centre halves.
 
We are 5 months from the World Cup, he should know his team. So get them together, play them consistently and build up a rhythm and understanding. All this chopping and changing mucks it all up.
 
Worst half from England since Iceland. Only positive is the defensive header to stop it being 2 nil.

Because too many fans got carried away with a semi and a final. These, when it’s been a relatively poor period in terms of quality in European and World international football. We’ve struggled far too often and not against particularly good teams.

It’s Southgate’s tactics. Wasting another talented generation, but the FA thinks all is well.
 
I think England football needs to take a leaf out of England cricket after todays performance and entertain by going all out for it. We have the talent, unleash it, and get at them. 👍
 
Awful. Same mistakes in selection and tactics. The guy's well past his sell-by date.

but with the feeble Southgate that will never happen.We`re struggling to even draw at home to Hungary FFS.
 
I watched the first half against Italy and turned the second half off, and just come in but can’t be arsed to watch any of it tonight. Sounds like I made a good call.
 
Saka is so far off international standard I almost feel sorry for him. First choice before Grealish and Foden though.
