Expect Saturdays kick off to be changed

As it takes around two and a half hours by car from and to Brum, and around three hours on the train, That would be sensible for their fans , to enable them to get home.

However, there is a small matter of Blackburn vs PNE kicking off at 12.00, so I would think the Police will have a say in this if it is considered.

I would think that we would keep matthews,, moretti, heineken and 53 club bars open and show the game.
plenty of bars around town for birmingham fans to watch game

Too short notice now I would guess, anyway don’t see why? England game doesn’t kick off for two hours after the Pool game finishes! Fits in nicely for those wanting to stay out and watch the game at their local or in town (which I would avoid)
It doesn't give the travelling fan a great deal of time, it's ok if you are local.

Personally, my last train is at 21.16 arriving in Bradford just after 23.00. Bus from there home, arriving around 23.35. So I could watch the game in a pub in town and just about make it to the station on time at full time, so long as there is no extra time and/or et plus penalties, but that is hardly ideal. It may mean an overnight.

Sadly, not going to be able to help everyone with this.

As far as the England game only, and not those with other commitments like work etc. then for those of us who are local, it makes no difference what time they show it at. After that, obviously the further away you are....

Birmingham aren't going to make it, so obviously expect loads of them round town.

Could be a lot of early departures on Saturday.

To be honest the default should have been Sunday 3pm as we were never scheduled to play then.

Games could then have been moved to Saturday by mutual consent.

Why does it need to be moved as England kick off at 7.00pm UK?

Although common sense would have said announce it was on Sunday about a month ago.

Looks like another mother of all fuck ups, train and coach journeys booked for fans and they want to change KO time just 5 days to go.

I won't be going to the Birmingham game if its a 3pm kick off as I wouldn't get home for the England game

It's a choice of one or the other for me

As it’s on terrestrial TV there will availability anywhere to watch.
Live streaming will be no problem.
Cannot see any real problem.

Even Brum fans travelling by car have a fighting chance of arriving back to Brum for most of the game.

Surprised at the attitude of some of our fans - it is a problem for the majority of Brum fans - who've just put a shed load of cash in our coffers.

Typical incompetent EFL but come on - if the fixture was the other way round I'd be getting a refund / taking the hit and not going.

I hope it doesn't happen, but I don't think I could take losing to Birmingham and getting knocked out of the World Cup on the same day.

Potential to be a proper depressing day for many people in the country.

So you'd put Country before Club then OK each to their own, and just maybe the 3.5k Brum fans might change their plans and decide to stay over putting even more money in to the economy?

An early KO where they come and go helps no one on an already sold ticket is zero.

bit of a weird one admittedly. But the kick off should have been 1230 in advance if they were that worried, not moving it 5 days later. I guess majority of crowd will be local or aways staying over so it’s a minority affected which probably helped the decision

And if we had come second in our group?
If we had won played Friday at 7pm you simply can't have a football program changed for a result last night.

Our route has been known for months, I e. Pre fixtures. The QF was either Friday or Saturday. The fixtures should have been Sunday, only movable by mutual consent.

It's done now, personally I think it's poor despite not affecting me at all.

WTF was the point of having a break for the World Cup then ??????????
You'd imagine all the Championship players will be back now we're at the quarter final stage.
Same logic in why League One and Two carried on as it never will have really impacted them.

To be honest I'm quite excited to have a competitive England game the same day as a competitive Blackpool game. I'm sure I wont be saying that if I have to suffer two defeats in one day.
