Fancy us at Swansea?

They’re on the slide and there should be more space for us to play into on the counter attack.

We know Swansea don’t play hoofball so providing we stay in the game and don’t shoot ourselves in the foot by doing something stupid I reckon we could Nick something here

Like Huddersfield were on the slide!!
It took a last minute equaliser to scrape a point against them at home.
You never know they may get a win but this non winning streak has gone on for far too long now☹️

If I knew for definite we were going to lose (that's impossible I'd add) I wouldn't even bother watching. We've always got a chance of winning.

True but you’re missing a key piece of information, we were down to 10 men for the majority of the match whilst already being a goal down.

I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about the Dutch lad who plays in the middle for Swansea. You have to see him (Piroe) out of the game.

Officially a forward but floats in that space between the two

A draw would have been a good result had we got 4 points from the last 2. We could win of course but we need Swansea to have a massive off day and us be able to capitalise on that.

Unless we play players who have pace, can create and score goals, we’ll be given the run around. MM will only select those types if he’s forced Toby injuries. I’m not optimistic.

They've conceded 7 goals in their last two games, losing their last home game 3-4 to Birmingham in injury time after being 3-1 up. Their regular first choice keeper Steven Benda is out for the season and his deputy Andy Fisher has looked shaky.

Their Head Coach Russell Martin was unhappy they didn't sign a replacement keeper or a striker in the transfer window. Piroe is their danger man so if we can keep him quiet you never know.

Swansea to have around 80% of the possession, football us to death, classic case of ‘it was a boxing match the referee would stop it‘ well before the end, it’s going to be an attritional watch, however, we stay in it till the death and despite only having 20% of the ball we score 100% of the goals. Jerry winner in the 88th minute 1-0 Pool. Believe.

Yes, I think the possession stats are going to be a landside for Swansea. A team that perhaps spends too much time in possession versus a team that doesn't spend enough on it (apart from the final third). 80/20 may actually be an underestimate. I think it's going to be a case of Swansea pass it sideways and backwards for five minutes, then when they try to breach our 7-2-1 formation, we recover the ball then have it for approximately 0.1 seconds before hoofing it back up the field. The entertainment in this game could be even worse than Saturday, but I guess this is irrelevant as it's now all down to picking up as many points as we can...

I hope we do get that much needed win, but tbh I expect nothing more than 5 at the back, a Swan(sea) dive to rock bottom and a meltdown on here. This could be the realisation that “We’re doomed!” - said in a Dad’s Army style.

Swansea will have bags of possession as always but we’ve got to buck the trend soon or later. Those 2 draws whilst not satisfying some of our entitled fans will have given the players some confidence and let’s hope that booing at the end of Saturdays game hasn’t affected them!

I remember last season thinking that they were really poor. They kept passing the ball along the back four and just tried to keep possession for the sake of it with no real objective. Let them do that, nick it a goal here and there and they can keep the ball all they want. We just need the three points.

One positive from Saturday was we kept a decent defensive shape & Rotherhams two best efforts came from shots outside the box. Maybe one for CJ on the counter even though I was relieved he was dragged off Saturday. Technically awful.

They were fighting for there lives Swansea are not, more likely our aggressive style will work better against mid table teams

Nope, we have to get the ball first and the problem with our current style of play is that we constantly give the ball back to an opposition who dominate most of the possession stats.

Budda is doing his best (NOT LOST SINCE HIS HEAD WENT BACK ON)and still facing east ,might give him a wash tomorrow and a fresh coat of paint 😮‍💨.

Hate to be pessimistic but until we stop playing hoof ball we will win naff all and the problem is if we don’t get a win very soon then we will be totally isolated at the bottom with no chance of catching up.
We’ve played 2 poor sides and never looked like winning either of them.
Perhaps if we had 11 men for the full 90 minutes against Huddersfield then we may have got a win but that is mere speculation.

Agree, but wonder if you might be considering a change of user name?
