Fantastic point today

Could have been a lot worse at the end, but obviously going to feel like a defeat being 2-0 up with 9 minutes to go.

Looking at that stadium Charlton have though it makes Bloomfield Road look like the Deva stadium and thinking about how long they've struggled to get out of this division I don't feel too bad, perspective and all that. If we keep Rhodes and he keeps scoring he's gonna have 20+ easily and the team behind him will only gel more as the season goes on, hopefully Critchley also learns and adapts and we'll be alright.

Yeah after being 2-0 up and handing their first goal on a plate.
I understand that sentiment of disappointment however we all know that if it had been the opposite way round and we’d recovered a 2 goal deficit you’d still have moaned that a point wasn’t enough… shouldn’t have been two down.

It’s your default ‘life is shit’ position 😉

Something happened to change the flow of play.

Was it the taking off of players who were playing well?

Could the loss of two points been avoided?

Yes a point at Charlton is a good result, but not so good in the position we were in at 0-2 when the manager changed things

The end result was shit. Felt like a loss. We were in control and then collapsed.

Having said that Charlton deserved it and if it wasn’t for their poor finishing (except that wonderstrike) they would have won. It is very concerning our supposedly solid defence couldn’t cope with Charlton. We somehow need to get a confident Ekpiteta back in there.

I really wasn't watching the same game as you. We could easily have scored a couple more, with Carey missing a golden opportunity and forcing a save from the keeper, while it was a defensive calamity from Casey that let them back in at a time when if anything, we were going on to score another. Even then Casey should have scored the winner with a free header straight at the keeper.

To go back to the o/p, it wasn't a fantastic point at all, if we'd been 2-0 down and came back the draw 2-2, that would have been a fantastic point.

We were 2-0 up, away from home and we basically fucked it up, so I was royally pissed off with a point at full time. Ironically I would have been happy with a point before kick off, given their recent home form and after our defeat on Tuesday. But, we caved in, two goals in 3 minutes is just ridiculous and we got what we deserved.

I am philosophical about it despite the disappointment. I thought we could take a lot of positives from the game, they came at us very hard in the last 30 minutes and they probably deserved a draw. I could criticise us for certain things but Im not doing bit in this post !

Most goals that are scored is because someone in the defending team has a wobble and loses the ball, makes the wrong decision or simply doesn't close an attacker down. someone in the defending team is always to blame, and that's what football is, the thing that draws us to watch it.

Yes, I was disappointed, but I'll settle for a point away from home and trust we will put thing right in our next game.

The stadium is big, but it's a massively run down shit hole. Over grown grass. Stands falling apart. Toilets about as vile as toilets could get. It needs serious investment. Wouldn't be shocked if that way end in 5-10 years if left like it is, will continue to fall apart.

Of course you'd have taken a draw before the game but very few top teams throw away a 2 goal lead in the last 10 mins ... just as we have failed to come back twice now from similar scorelines this season.
