FIFA President

Because it's smaller than the Falkland Islands?
It's a perfectly valid reason. Qatar is simply not big enough nor do I suspect does it have the infrastructure to cope with the normal number of fans who attend WC tournaments. In that respect the corrupt Blatter with his latest statement is correct. Sadly he was bought off over ten years ago where he quite clearly was more interested in money for himself than the good of the tournament itself.

Not just Blatter though 20s but the stench of corruption over all of the FIFA Exec Committee at that time as exposed by the FBI still hangs around, and that shite bellowed out by the current president sums the cover up still exists.

yes, I did because FIFA is corrupt. But I still prefer football to politics. Do you? I'd suggest you don't. So will you be watching it or will your political leanings mean you won't? A simple question to answer. It's ok to admit you're not really a football person but god knows why you are posting on a BFC football forum then. That said, I've thought that for awhile about some on here. Each to our own though. 👍
I might be wrong but sure Shandy has posted he isn’t really into football and even more so BFC…if I’m right then why is he or she or it or whatever these days on here for.

I think you're right. Sometimes I wonder if some people come on here because they know they've got an audience who they can try and force their political beliefs on.

Infantoolo what a whopper! Who said politics and sport shouldn't mix? He was trying to justify why the corrupt FIFA Exec Committee chose Qatar for this world cup. Olly got it spot on!

What a bell end. Not even half as funny as he thinks he is and the thing that he finds unthinkable - moving the World Cup to the winter - has been arranged with minor adjustments to the regular football season.

You like to deflect. I was pointing out your contradictory viewpoints. I am a football fan (not Blackpool) but its a forum where anyone from anywhere can register and post

I don't support Blackpool, I do follow another team (not Preston) I was attracted to this site because I do have links to blackpool and I found it to be a cracking forum. Again I've said that repeatedly!

mmmm...think that post is the deflecting one myself. Politics or football? Whatever though, it's your choice.

To answer your question I'm not watching England tomorrow as I've got a work meeting in Liverpool. That said I'm not bothered about watching this game, of course I'll watch the US and Wales game. I'll watch some of the opening match today to see what the vibe is like. In general my passion for the world Cup has diminished, I prefer the Euros. The world Cup in South Africa was awful, made far worse by those bloody vuvuzela things.

look I'm not fussed but you didn't answer. Politics or football was the question.

I've got an interest in both, I didn't realise I had to choose one. If you held a gun to my head and said pick one I'd probably go football but with conditions. Firstly it would have to go back to an era where money/commercialism didn't rule. In the 80s and 90s I always supported English teams in Europe because I could connect with the players as they were 99% from the UK. I struggle more with that as every English team has lost that identity, foreign owners, foreign managers, foreign players. I suppose there is nothing wrong with that but I can't feel the same passion. That's how I feel about this world Cup, (felt similar about USA) just not for me. Corrupt to the core.

Could be because it's 'Freedom of Speech' on here and people are allowed even if they are not from Blackpool.

"Today I have strong feelings. Today I feel Qatari, I feel Arab, I feel African, I feel gay, I feel disabled, I feel a migrant worker." 🙄
What an absolute bell end he is! If h can a job come Monday, then he’s corrupt too
Have to say that as a football fan who has religiously watched the last 12 World cups, I have never felt so underwhelmed at a tournament starting. 😣
Just no buzz or enthusiasm for it in general….. unless they pull a rabbit out of a hat, or a beer! 😁

The problem is he comes on here and uses it as a political platform….mind you he is not alone sadly….must be me but I don’t want a football orientated site to become a political one.
Football and the odd bit of humour is fine….as my old politics lecturer ( Kilroy Silk…yes that one) as part of a wider optional study in my first year at University said most people will always vote for a candidate from their party of choice even were it a Pig.
