Father in law put on deep blue sea the other day and it made me want to skin myself.

Honestly no comparison to be made between the two
Jaws (only the first one) is a wonderful piece of storytelling, it has probably aged a bit but still an absolute classic
The off set tension between the actors only made the on set acting better
