Brexit really has spread far and wide
They really are a sad bunch those Frogs allies my arse. Not just in China India is also on the cusp of running out of power. The USA are short of bottled water, Toys for Christmas and Toilet Paper and so on.
Meanwhile, France has detained two British Fishing boats and is now threatening to cut power to Jersey, add extra checks on goods vehicles to and from GB, and more measures due to the fishing dispute. You couldn't make it up.
Not the French people, they’re grand folk, Brexit pissed all over Macrons chips!! Think he might be a secret PNE fan the way he’s lobbed his toys out the pramThey really are a sad bunch those Frogs allies my arse.
What about the Frogs threatening to cut power to Jersey over the fishing dispute are they within their rights?Righto so brexit isn't having an impact on supply chains and delays....really? Of course not it's due to everything else innit.
I know some of you have a pathological hatred of the French aka "surrender monkeys" but they detained boats that were fishing where they shouldn't be without the correct licences, I know we hold all the cards and secured the easiest deal in history but aren't they within their rights?
I've not seen a brexit supporter claim brexit isn't a factor in things, as it will be sometimes as things get ironed our over the next few years.Righto so brexit isn't having an impact on supply chains and delays....really? Of course not it's due to everything else innit.

That little problem will be brushed under the carpet with some I'm afraid.I've not seen a brexit supporter claim brexit isn't a factor in things, as it will be sometimes as things get ironed our over the next few years.
But there's other bigger factors at play, the pandemic meant some supply chains stopped for a long time, or slowed, lack of training for hgv drivers etc.
You cant judge brexit fairly because of whats happened.
The pandemic will have had the biggest effect on things.
I don't get why people are still so quick to blame brexit for everything unless they have an agenda. That little problem will be brushed under the carpet with some I'm afraid.
Because it’s the easy thing to do blaming everything that’s wrong with the world today on Brexit.I don't get why people are still so quick to blame brexit for everything unless they have an agenda.
I'm happy to judge it fairly and if it's a complete disaster I'll happily say so.
The fact is, even with the pandemic issues thrown in it's not been a complete disaster like some claimed pre vote.
A lot of the issues we've had wouldn't be anywhere near as bad without a global pandemic, although undoubtedly there have been some issues still.
Take away the pandemic, which puts real issues into perspective and the much smaller issues we'd have had wouldn't have been near all the scare stories we got at the time of the vote.
Because they lost, underestimated the general feeling in the room and are a touch bitter to boot.Because it’s the easy thing to do?
I agree about the French people, when I've ever been in their country I've always found them warm and welcoming, even the much maligned Parisiennes. Not the French people, they’re grand folk, Brexit pissed all over Macrons chips!! Tsk!!!Brexit’s impact on economy worse than pandemic – OBR

shandy doesn't seem to want to comment on the point you make. What about the Frogs threatening to cut power to Jersey over the fishing dispute are they within their rights?
There’s a few on here who are quick to point the finger then run off to pastures new.shandy doesn't seem to want to comment on the point you make.
i just wish they'd stay there. There’s a few on here who are quick to point the finger then run off to pastures new.
I’m in Paris atm and have been for the last four days. Second trip here in the last 12 months.I agree about the French people, when I've ever been in their country I've always found them warm and welcoming, even the much maligned Parisiennes.
However I probably have as much contempt for Macron as I do Johnson, I think neither leader nor their governments are great ambassadors for their respective countries.
As much I also dislike George Galloway, to use one of his oft used quotes, Johnson and Macron are two cheeks of the same arse.
The same OBR that Rishi Sunak has just based his entire budget on .Ahh...
Richard Hughes, chairman of the Office for Budget Responsibility, said it had assumed that leaving the EU would “reduce our long run GDP by around four per cent”.
How many times are predictions correct. Theres so many moving unpredictable parts its almost impossible to call.
Let's have some real actual analysis of whats happened so far, you can't really as many other factors like the pandemic muddy the analysis.

The odd rude person but few and far between. Great city with warm, friendly people. Can’t judge them based on what a ** Macron is.
Same way you can’t judge us Brits based on what an oaf Johnson is
Well you have had plenty of opportunities but you still haven’t said so because we all know its a raging success don’t we!I don't get why people are still so quick to blame brexit for everything unless they have an agenda.

Stop nitpickingThe same OBR that Rishi Sunak has just based his entire budget on .
Nope. They aren’t.What about the Frogs threatening to cut power to Jersey over the fishing dispute are they within their rights?
You need to read this board more. Every Brexiteer has stridently denied any shortage of anything, whether goods, labour or services is a consequence of Brexit, or indeed, that there are any shortages at all.I've not seen a brexit supporter claim brexit isn't a factor in things, as it will be sometimes as things get ironed our over the next few years.
But there's other bigger factors at play, the pandemic meant some supply chains stopped for a long time, or slowed, lack of training for hgv drivers etc.

OK tell us why other countries are allegedly suffering shortages, it can't all be Brexit. We have empty shelves in the supermarkets in the area I live but they are filled the next day and another shelf is empty, I'm very cynical about all these claims, to be honest, I'm trying to guess where the next shortage will be.You need to read this board more. Every Brexiteer has stridently denied any shortage of anything, whether goods, labour or services is a consequence of Brexit, or indeed, that there are any shortages at all.
It's not all Brexit agreed, but on this thread are people saying there are no shortages at all, everything is hunky dory, and Brexit is marvellous.OK tell us why other countries are allegedly suffering shortages, it can't all be Brexit. We have empty shelves in the supermarkets in the area I live
The same OBR that Rishi Sunak has just based his entire budget on .
Well you have had plenty of opportunities but you still haven’t said so because we all know its a raging success don’t we!
But the truth is it's hard to pin down why x shortage has occurred when we've had so much disruption with covid, people isolating creating staff shortages etc.You need to read this board more. Media. You only have to look at most past predictions to see they're hardly ever accurate. I guess we'll see.
What opportunities? we've had some negative stuff, some positive, some blamed on brexit then other areas of the world have similar issues so can't be all brexit like some claim.
But the truth is it's hard to pin down why x shortage has occurred when we've had so much disruption with covid, people isolating creating staff shortages etc.
We also have loads of hospitality jobs out there now, when you have a large amount of jobs but less people to fill them wages tend to go up.
There have been positive stories but real positives will come once the country fully adapts to the changes.
Covid has slowed this down as obviously everything has been about that.
At least being out of the eu we did things our own way with the vaccine, maybe we could have anyway, but shows that when you only have to cater for your own countries needs, it can be beneficial.
People were all over the petrol crisis blaming brexit but its kind of funny that it was all resolved with the same number of drivers as we had before it.
Was it a manufacturered crisis to use the existing stock with the change in petrol? Or just an example of how media can whip up a crisis?
so stop posting on there then! The generalistic labelling of a whole nation by Daily Mail reading little Englanders is no surprise on here.
There are a lot of posters that post on the politics side that simply haven't the intelligence to.
I'll admit. I have a law degree and I'm certainly not up to arguing with people that are genuinely into politics and have studied it. It makes you look stupid when you haven't got a real knowledge of political subjects. So if I'm not upto it - you certainly aren't.so stop posting on there then!
Now I'am not saying for one minute there haven’t been any shortages up and down the country but I can honestly say hand on heart apart from the obvious one being fuel I’ve not been to a shop/supermarket that’s had a shortage of anything I’ve been out shopping for.You need to read this board more. Every Brexiteer has stridently denied any shortage of anything, whether goods, labour or services is a consequence of Brexit, or indeed, that there are any shortages at all.
you think you're smart but you're not. I've no problem admitting my knowledge and interest in politics is sadly/badly lacking. That's my own choice though. That's why I don't often actually make a political comment. But this politics forum is pretty much all about the majority looney left airing their views and abuse at people who challenge them. Yet you failed to see that when making your comment regarding ganging up and bullying of posters. Why is that do you think?I'll admit. You incapable of reading properly Wiz or do you deliberately misquote me? I used the words "dont often". I don't come on here starting political threads and saying what is right and what is wrong in this great country of ours. I simply challenge the obvious suspects who love nothing more than ridiculing everything about this country. And whereas you are not top of the list you're pretty high up on it.You don't make a political comment?
Possibly the most jaw dropping comment I've ever seen on this Board and that's a wide spectrum.
Again, don't often????You incapable of reading properly Wiz or do you deliberately misquote me? I used the words "dont often". I know you are a dick Mac but a not very bright one. Like I keep saying, sure I may post on here a bit but I don't actually offer a lot of political opinions. I simply challenge those on here who simply are relentlessly negative about the country and a positive word never comes out of their mouths. He's never off here leading the charge with his pitch fork

well done, you're getting there. I challenge anyone who is relentlessly negative about this country and has nothing positive to say.You don't offer any opinion. You simply weigh in to anyone that holds differing views to your own.
Of course your comment about a "pitchfork" wasn't meant to be an insult eh!You don't offer any opinion. You simply weigh in to anyone that holds differing views to your own with the same old narrative.
More personal insults for me too. How low brow.
