"For safety reasons and in consultation with the police, the Field Street Gate in the North East corner will be closed prior to the end of tonight's game against Coventry City FC and will remain closed until both sets of supporters have dispersed. We apologise for any inconvenience."

So now everybody in the North has to walk round the ground and down Bloomfield Road? Were clashes between away fans and the home fans in the South not enough? They want all the Northies heading that way now too? Smart

This was done pre-NAPM days when the new houses were being built.
I remember one MASSIVE kick off with Sheffield Wednesday fans when they came face to face with fans I walked out with trying to get back to our cars parked at Revoe.

My two lads were a lot younger then and VERY frightened.

Wont happen like I said in my previous post. Nobody got battered btw, it was just Blackpool lads acting all brave against families etc. I assume the police moved the fixture to prevent disorder…
