George Ezra

Whoever that Celeste woman is, my god she's atrocious, then those 3 women, 1 was decent, the other two screeched the whole time. If this is the best we have to offer we're fucked.

I enjoyed it tbh but the choice of acts was debatable. I love Diana Ross for her material but why was she the finishing artist?…..she is American, is past it …don’t understand the thinking but also ain’t revved about it

A broad range to cover all age/genres I suspect. Enjoyed it on the whole but thought it might if finished off more traditional.

It was all a tad boring for me I’m afraid.

The actual event looked well organised, just boring acts and performances.

What it needed was bringing the whole cast on stage at the end, to sing Hey Jude with Sir Paul....except Rod Stewart of course....and Simon Le Bon...
Wonderful World IS Louis Armstrong, it's like someone who isn't Nat King Cole trying to sing a Nat King Cole song.

Diana Ross is 78, she was helped onto the stage and will spend the next 3 days in bed, she's beyond past it. Thought the light show was spectacular though 👍

After about the first three acts I went to read a book as it was all pretty atrocious and judging by comments dont think I missed much. To be fair though once Paddington had been on it would have taken something special to better him.

Just a rehearsal for the Lytham Festival later this month
Diana Ross, Elbow, Nile Rogers and Duran Duran.

Indeed! With the help of my carer I’ve just penned a letter to the Sunday Telegraph regarding the very same! What about George Formby finishing procedures, no ruddy Arthur Askey or erm what’s his name, funny bloke, only small looks a bit like er that Mick Hucknall. (Carer) Charlie Drake.… Yes that’s him! I love listening to him on the long wave er…Wireless. Good evening I love you all.

It was far better than I thought it was going to be, I thought the young brigade, Jax Jones, Mabel, Mimi Webb, John Newman, Ella Eyre and Sigala were all very good. Brian May and Roger Taylor have still got it but Rod Stewart and Diana Ross not so much, although Ross got better as she went on. Duran Duran were awful and Celeste, who ever she is, totally murdered her song.

Not sure about the giant corgi above the Palace but the rest of the light show was amazing!

FFS Moaning lot again.
So what if Diana Ross is American. Nile Rogers is too and there will be many viewing Worldwide.
No Coldplay, James Blunt, McCartney etc. Surely many will be happy with that!

Great night entertainment I believe. Will watch full show before the big one at Cardiff .
Can Wales do it.

Totally correct nothing wrong with last night's concert the moaners have no idea how hard it is to get bands to play on dates you can't just pull in Duran Duran if the singer is on holiday or any of the band.

Diana Ross is over he as she doing the legend slot at Glastonbury so her and the team where already here and available same as a lot on last nights concert already on tour or getting ready for summer of festivals.

It was safe same as Lytham Festival your hardly going to put Liam Gallagher on!

Wh0 TF decided on what acts/singers were on?
Some really crap acts/singers.
I've never heard of half of them, but MrsDP seems to know them all.
There where quite a few which MrsDP didn't like though.
Went on far too long.
I always wonder at these events what people do when they want a P etc?
Must have been 20,000 on The Mall. I bet there were a lot of wet shoes etc. 😟

My mate was there and said the whole sound system went down during George Ezra's performance and the crowd couldn't hear anything. Don't know how much it affected his performance.
