Chaos because you have to slightly change where you scan your season/match day ticket?

there will no doubt be a steward on each entrance telling people where to scan the ticket in case they have missed the update.

I'm sure people love to try and pick fault at everything the club try to improve.

I'm not one of them, just stating a fact.
 
The old way was able to to ST cards like this as I've been doing it for weeks, since the stewards told me.

But easier if everyone does it like that.

Much better, quicker as well. Ok, thi Saturday might be a bit slower, as people won’t know about the change, but I’m sure as T dream said, I’m sure there’ll be stewards explaining the new system.

The old regime wouldn’t have much of a crowd to worry about!

I had problems with my old season card as I mentioned in a previous thread. Went to the shop and got a new one printed but was asked about where I kept my faulty card and whether I kept it near my mobile.
It seems that mobile phone chips such as the NFC and Bluetooth can affect these NFC chipped cards making them faulty. Please be aware of how you store your card and maybe not in the same pocket as your mobile.
 
You've always been able to present your st card in this way , the steward showed us how on the very first day the new stands opened.
 
I wasn’t putting my season ticket In The slot before I just scanned it where he’s shown to do it from Saturday so nothing new for me 😁😁😁😁😁

Mmm well....... Missing a fact? I am asking as an idiot roaming the town of course. How far away from the scanning bit can the card be held to be functional. Is it 3inches,6 inches, a foot, 2 or more feet? Perhaps this fact is being withheld as it is on a need to know basis? Could be dark forces at work here as we idiots have had expectations of a smooth passage raised by this demonstration by a smiling sinister looking actor?

I like to keep my cards close to my chest so distance ratios could be crucial .
 
It just needs a loud mouth steward saying “season tickets contactless… paper tickets in the slot please”
