Gleaming New East Stand

They said ticket office and bar to be in it didn't they? If yes then surely has to be home? South away??
Ignore whatever you’ve seen previously. That was just a general application put forward on behalf of the council for the sake of obtaining the grant money. As far as I’m aware there is absolutely no firm plan in place from a BFC perspective as of yet. Sadler says they need to decide what they want to include and not include, come up with plans and then submit an application. As of yet the East stand is a project on the to do list but there’s a lot of work still to be done before any drawings and plans are in place. A lot will depend on the councils ambitions for the surrounding area as that will determine the available land and possible uses for any ancillary facilities / spaces that can be used on top of the usual 23 guaranteed regular season games.

I'd put the aways in the North they can have the crap facilities build the East safe standing with better concessions it would also stop the problem of fans coming in direct contact after the game also.
Interesting suggestion that poolseasider as a reflexion of the out of date and as you say crap facilitates.

The north is sacrosanct for loud and proud Blackpool supporters. I used to be in there when I was young, probably from 17 to 24 until I moved away. You just can’t change that.

Always best to put away fans in a place that makes it harder for them to generate noise. I’d suggest the south east corner of the third tier in the new East stand.

For home fans or away fans, or has it been decided?
I've wondered if it would make sense to give away fans half of the south, allowing them access to the south east corner facilities. Then, depending on the new East Stand and potential away followings they could also be allocated tickets in part of the East.

Cover the away stand roof & walls in egg boxes & have soft materials on the floors too 😂
TBH the away fans have a huge advantage anyway at the moment being in the very low roof east and still they get outsung.

I've said it before but imagine the north stand in that east.

So when its made proper they will lose volume compared to now.

Maybe Simon can design our half in a slightly different way as to project the noise. 😅

Happy to go with egg boxes and soft materials on the other 😅

It will be north end of the new east. They can sort access out during building.

I'd be reluctant to see them have all the vertical space, maybe 3/4 up, with commercial space/hosp above. Keep the noise down and they can get piss wet through. I don't think putting them anywhere else will work

think it generally best that home fans are at both ends behind the goal so no matter which way the team are kicking it's always towards home fans.
Yeah and its very rare to get turned round when away fans are at the se end, as they want to kick that way 2nd half

Away fans need to be put in the North end of the East. If we have 2 tiers then give them a third of the stand (in the lower and upper tier-something like Villa Park).

Here are a couple of realistic options
Wycombe's holds 4990
Crewe's 6,800

Obviously the stand at Wycombe wouldn't increase capacity.
Something like the one at Gresty Road is the way to go. Ideal for big away followings too!

We do not want away supporters behind a goal.
Leave them down the east side, preferably in the middle, away from the goals.

North has the best acoustics, so we'd be in danger of being outsung by big away followings.
Nowt up with the acoustics in the east when Derby came calling.
East is easier to be louder as the roof is so low.

So away fans have an advantage right now, we do well to even compete nevermind out sing 2 or 3k pissed up fans in a lower roof stand.

If the north stand was in the east it'd be even louder.

So when we build the new stand it'll be harder for away fans to be as noisy.

Will be interesting to see the final design.

If a larger single tiered construction is opted for (say 30-35 rows of seats) with the NE corner filled in, my preference would be to give the away fans the NE corner and say a third of the East.
That way our vocal element could stay in the North albeit we would probably have to give up Block A for segregation and we could also mass in the middle of the East.

Would prefer to build on the north atmosphere, with home fans in the ne corner, approx another 1k and and the ne with pool fans too.

Would be one mad loud end, you could have 8 or 9k maybe all at that end singing, would be mental, way louder than we can currently be.

Spurs stadium has a large single tier and you don’t really hear them
