Gnanduillet

Hate! What a strong word. There are people I don’t like; people I avoid at all costs just as they, probably, feel the same about me. But hate! I can honestly say there is not one person I have met down the years I hate!

You're on the wrong board😉🤣🤣🤣

When Gnando left us 2 years ago for South Africa? I don't think anyone was bothered and probably thought he was lucky to get a contract on his return. I think we have seen his best ever season and not sure he could reproduce it on a regular basis

Who are the haters gonna hate now? Only at BFC can the top scorer get so much shit.
I don’t think anybody actually hated him. The problem was, as other posters have said, with him in the team one way to play. Out to Feeney across to Gnanduillet and hope for the best. That worked for short while, then other teams sussed out keep Feeney quiet nullify Gnanduillet, Blackpool knackered. Hopefully we can now, play football, not be totally reliant on 2 players and be able to adapt to the conditions and or the opposition. Thanks Armand good luck and goodbye.

AG was the Marmite player of the club.
I would hate to play against him - big, strong, robust, with huge elbows and scored plenty of goals. I personally thought he was an asset and that there was better to come from him under Neil C. However, if the big guy wants to leave then it's best he went quickly.
Good luck big fella, thanks for giving your best in our shirt and I'll watch your career with interest.
He didn’t score plenty of goals, he had 4 seasons here 2 good, 2 rubbish. At all his previous clubs, of which there were 8 he was bobbins.

he was a figure of hate for a lot on here and in the ground and I felt, and still feel, it was unwarranted. I would put him well above Madine as a striker, but he will never live down his one moment of horror at Reading as all his goals will be forgotten. I wish the big man the best of luck and just hope we don't have to come up against him in the future.
I'd rate you above Madine 😜🤣

I liked Gnando, he wasn't always the best to watch and a bit of an enigma. That said when he was on it he really was a handful. As others have mentioned, the style of play that suited him is unlikely to be that which Critchley will want to produce. I do believe that all League 1 teams need some height and power though, it is important to have a Plan B and also comes in handy when defending. Hopefully the club have some promising replacements in hand.
You said it, he's a Plan B

This is for the best.

Which sounds wrong in my head because of the amount of goals he has just scored for us.I just find him clumsy first and foremost and thats never going to go away. For a man of his size I find him very weak in the air and just in general he doesnt use his potential strength well at all.

The best performances ive seen from him have often come from the bench.Thats pissed him off a few times and it shows when he comes on hes fired up usually bags a couple. If you could bottle THAT desire from him and apply it to a full 90 minutes then different story altogether.

Good luck to him but this is exciting now because that has instantly changed the way we play straight away.

Top man, top goalscorer. I think many forget how hard he worked at defense as well, particularly set pieces. If we replace him with better, good, but I never understood the hate he got on here. Only at Blackpool can someone who scored as much as he in this truncated season be disliked. Who recently has come even close to his number in a full season??

Totally agree, but quietly hopeful that we can replace him with someone in a different mould ... more like Kevin Phillips?

Even though a lot of us couldn't appreciate it at the time, his equaliser in the 2nd leg of the Luton play-off was instrumental in our return back to League One. Imagine if we were having to crawl back from League Two! And god knows where we'd have been without his goals this season so I wish him all the best, regardless of my ever-changing opinion of him.

An absolute shame he is going on a free though. Joint 2nd top goalscorer in League One being sold to a Championship side would have packed a pretty penny for our transfer budget.

"I never understood the hate he got on here"

I don't think he ever got hate, more frustration. There are some players who seem to dictate how a whole team plays and he seems to have been one of those players. Wish him well but if we're going to improve I hope they're looking beyond the Fonz and Nuttall!
