Spurs accept 95 million for Harry Kane.great move for him, should have gone sooner and have won a few medals by now
He hasn't decided if he's leaving yetSpurs accept 95 million for Harry Kane.great move for him, should have gone sooner and have won a few medals by now
The one and only time you'll see Harry Kane, Keshi Anderson and global talent in the same paragraph.Good move all round. Spurs fans will disagree but with one year left on his contract, they had to cash in otherwise it would end up in a Keshi Anderson situation where they lose a global talent for free.
Maybe he prefers the freedom of movement and better standard of living that living in Germany would give himhaving a soft spot for spurs i hope he stays. Yep, unlikely to win any major club hnours but he has the chance to show he's the greatest goalscorer the PL has ever seen to add to the accolade of Englands greatest ever goalscorers. Against that, he can go to the procession that is the bundesliga and win a few trophies.but the value of that to an englishman is never as great as winning trophies in your own country. he's a family man with three young kids, he seems to be very sensible, so it won't necessarily be an easy decision to uproot his family to go and live in southern germany.
Win a few trophies in the procession of the bundesliga surely trumps struggling to finish 8th with Tottenham. The joy of actually winning something and holding up trophies. He also would have a chance of winning the Champions League in a an up and coming Bayern team who underachieved last season.having a soft spot for spurs i hope he stays. I thought he had previously said he wouldn't move to another PL team, so he would need to go abroad. At 30 he's missed the bus for dragging his family abroad (kids schools, language etc) Wouldn't surprise me if he stopped at Spurs, unless a Prem team makes an offer then he can stay in the UK.
Why would anyone want to stay in the UK !?At 30 he's missed the bus for dragging his family abroad (kids schools, language etc) Wouldn't surprise me if he stopped at Spurs, unless a Prem team makes an offer then he can stay in the UK.
You don’t have a soft spot for spurs do you? never noticed!having a soft spot for spurs i hope he stays. tbf, spurs looked like they could win a major trophy and they've gone close a few times. So always more likely than Everton even though it didn't happen. One of the best players ever not to win a major trophy if he stays at Spurs.
He's silly not to leave Spurs when he first hit the big time. Rooney is a massive Everton fan but knew he had to leave if he was going to win major trophy's.
you did, you even moved to London. Why would anyone do that? Why would anyone want to stay in the UK !?
Just to piss Spurs off They were getting £140 million a year ago, now its £94.5, and if he hangs on for another season, nothing at all, but a big chunk of that to him as a sweetener.Am I missing something here?
We've had months of negotiations which I think everybody's a bit bored of by now , the clubs finally agree the fee and yet the player might now not go? How does that make sense? If he wanted to stay at Spurs and see out the contract then why didn't he say so in the first place and save everybody the bother.? Surely Bayern would only put so much effort in for so long if they knew the player was set on it. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Maybe his kids are settled in school? His wife wants to stay? He already gets paid a fortune anyway, so there's no need to leave? He actually wants to saty with Spurs? Why would anyone want to stay in the UK !?
Yeah he was really settled 2 years ago when he wanted to go to Manchester City and nearly went on strike!Maybe his kids are settled in school? His wife wants to stay? He already gets paid a fortune anyway, so there's no need to leave? He actually wants to saty with Spurs?
Could be loads of reasons
Or maybe it's simply because it's his home and he likes living here? But I bet it never entered your head that some people might actually like living here.
Apparently the standard of living is so high in Munich he can only afford a two bed.Maybe his kids are settled in school? His wife wants to stay? He already gets paid a fortune anyway, so there's no need to leave? He actually wants to saty with Spurs?

I think he will stay. Finish what he wants to achieve in terms of Premier League goal scoring, and secure further his Tottenham legend, and make next summer his own decision moment for probably his last big contract and on his own terms.
I suppose injury next season being the risk with that strategy?
Last time I looked Manchester was in the UKYeah he was really settled 2 years ago when he wanted to go to Manchester City and nearly went on strike!
He will fail it,too much weight on his shouldersHe's off for a medical
Given he's in Germany now and set to have a medical later today, I doubt it very much. He wants and deserves some trophies before he retires.Think he'll stay / sign a new 5 year contract. Hope so, or I'll have to change my FPL team - again.
Yeah and the point is he was prepared to uproot his family then and go to Manchester so what's the difference? It's Germany and a small world and he'll have a fantastic lifestyle there with a club like Bayern making every attention to detail. It's not the other side of the world.Last time I looked Manchester was in the UK
You don't actually know he was prepared to go to Manchester. Just what you read in the media. And most of that these days is made up bullshitYeah and the point is he was prepared to uproot his family then and go to Manchester so what's the difference? Of course he did, who wouldn't want to go and play for one of the best managers in the world and win everything? He even missed the first few days of pre season because he had to get his head right and it was touch and go at the time if he would turn up at all. Credit to him for being professional and performing the way he has for Tottenham the last 2 years. You don't actually know he was prepared to go to Manchester. Just what you read in the media. That might be true if there were any decent opposition. From an England perspective, playing in a different league should make Kane an even better player
But why would he want to come to a club blessed with a resurgant striker who looks set to break all manner of goal-scoring records for his team this season, and who might - and I repeat, 'might' - just grab all the headlines from his slightly more seasoned strike partner? No, you get yourself off to Bayern, Harry, and leave Shane to soak up the plaudits which are surely headed his way!Who gives a ....
Unless SS comes in with a cheeky last minute bid to partner him up with Shane ?
He would be able to afford a bigger house up't North!
You take too much notice of the media.Of course he did, who wouldn't want to go and play for one of the best managers in the world and win everything? I don't but he definitely wanted to go to Man City and it was well documented at the time. A professional like Harry Kane would never go missing at the start of the season and he did.You take too much notice of the media.
