CJ’s tackling stays were better than Husbands last season and on par with JG. He’s far from a defensive liability and is showing his competence yet again this season.

Manager after manager show faith in him. I literally did a blow by blow account of a game where you’d slagged him last season, to highlight his contribution.

I’ll defend the lad from an unwarranted criticism all day long…. And to call him a liability is complete fabrication

His performances recently have been worthy of praise and it is right that is recognised but some have been unwilling to concede this which is disappointing. It is a shame that there seems to be a need for a scapegoat but that’s football.

But you rather hint, in your post, at the quandary CJ is increasingly having to face. He's not only having to bear the brunt of peoples 'ire' than himself (despite the fact he's taller than most), but, by the same token, he's also having to suffer the same indignity from individuals 'lower' (i.e., those slightly lacking in inches) than himself.

Poor old CJ must be thinking to himself: 'OMG - will this nightmare never end!'

He's no attacking fullback. Stil not good enough for this league either.
Everyone has there own opinions though.
 
He did ok that's all going forward as their full back was pretty quick too. But as has been said many times he's too often getting the ball in way too deep a position.Not gonna mention that their first two goals came down our right hand side where they got in pretty easily. Jeez, tonight all round was so frustrating.

Agree with all of that. I actually think man for man we were quite a similar team it's just that one manager set his team up way better than ours did!
