It‘s a long way to go to discover they’ve sold out of pies.Is it worth a visit
If Catherine dies I’ll be lobbying Rishi for a day of national mourning
I think Clare might kill Tommy but I like Johnno’s theory that it could be Alison. What's everyone's guess for the ending??
I've been thinking Ryan kills Tommy after Tommy batters Catherine to within an ace of her life...then they both ride off into the sunset after she recovers
But I think Tommy might kill Catherine now.
I'd be interested to know what we're all thinking might happen??!!
Interesting...both far less obvious than mine!I think Clare might kill Tommy but I like Johnno’s theory that it could be Alison.
Yayay glad you are enjoying SpudNot something I would normally think of watching, but did so because of this thread. Halfway through series 2 and find it very compelling. A great recommendation!
I can see why you think that. They had so much to cram into the last episode to tie up all the loose ends that maybe they didn’t do some of them justice.Bit of a rubbish last episode I thought …
I think that was the problem. A lot of things to cover to do justice..I can see why you think that. They had so much to cram into the last episode to tie up all the loose ends that maybe they didn’t do some of them justice.
I agree, some great acting. I just thought there was so much to cram in some important parts of the plot weren’t given enough detail. The standard set in previous episodes was so high..Thought it was a good ending with some great acting.
Thought the end didn’t do any justice to the other key crime involving the teacher and the chemistI agree, some great acting. I just thought there was so much to cram in some important parts of the plot weren’t given enough detail. The standard set in previous episodes was so high..
Said the same to my daughter. Didn’t think Tommy would have forgiveness or tears for lost love in him.I thought the ending was very good. Tommy came across as human in the end, which is something I'd never thought I'd say.

agreed but I ain’t grumbling…thoroughly enjoyed it KirkyI think they could have strung out another episode. It would have been nice to see the teacher and Chemists demise!
some fantastic acting and I’ve loved it, but I did find the final episode rushed a little….. I think we all need to see the other 4 endings

Loved the bit where she refused to wait half an hour for the Chief Constable! That resonated with me.For the few ex-plods on this Forum, I have to say there is a certain gritty realism, not always but sometimes.
A great series, great actor (SL), great supporting actors and absolutely brilliant writer.
Love that post VoyI felt a tad disappointed while watching it by the rushed feel of it, the dropping of story lines that had been given a lot of time previously, and also feeling for the first time in this series that things got stretched too far from the believable. Tommy looking at photo albums and having a humane conversation with Cathy. Cathy entering the building alone. Etc.
But having reflected on it, those things are small in the context of how good the whole thing was, and it's not real life, it's a tv drama, and it did many good things well. I texted my slight disappointment to a female friend who left a controlling relationship with her young son and brought him up alone and she just replied that it was the ultimate vindication for every woman out there who brought up a boy without the support of a man.
Which put me straight really. Sally Wainwright has taught us a lot via the medium of tv drama. Thete was even a piece in the Guardian yesterday by an ex chief superintendent of the Met saying that if Sally Wainwright and Sarah Lancashire understand what good policing looks like, why does the leadership of the Met?!
I think it also gives a sense of how strong capable women, and grandparents, often clear up after hopeless men and feckless boys, and hold families together. With men in pretty much all the senior positions in the HV police force, a female sergeant who is a mother of a dead rape victim is constantly teaching them how the job is actually done. While also bringing up the child produced by the rape to be a balanced sorted lad who is identified as a good candidate for the police force. Is that not Sally Wainwright's purpose? Do not underestimate or under appreciate women?
The whole thing is a female perspective, but not an unreasonable one I think.
Open for what? Its over. The end.Think they have left the Pharmacist scenario open.
Surely Catherine's comments about him, including naming him, will leave the Super enough to enquire further?Think they have left the Pharmacist scenario open.
Definitely !Surely Catherine's comments about him, including naming him, will leave the Super enough to enquire further?
